Someone is probably bitter about the big tech companies that haven't donated to her campaign. What would really be more useful would be to break up the 6 companies that own all Mainstream Media. Since Bill Clinton passed the law allowing the media companies to consolidate, just a few companies now control the "trusted" news outlets.

I get the best tradeoff with Thinkpad-style keyboards (minus the horrible Tx40 series!). You get the mouse nub right there at your fingertips, so you barely have to move your hands to use the mouse. You can get an affordable plastic one for around $70, which is ok. But the real nice ones are the Tex Yoda or the Tex Kodachi. The Yoda II and the Kodachi have fully programmable keys, solid aluminum base, and if you buy the kit, you can choose your own mechanical keyswitches. I've got enough extra keys on my Kodachi that I've programmed a number of common tasks as macros and it's made a huge improvement in my productivity.
I bet if they added headphone jacks again, the new phones would sell like hotcakes. Who wants to upgrade when there's a huge decrease in functionality?
Many security specialists already recommend covering the camera on your laptop when you're not using it. Perhaps it's time to do that with our phones as well.
The MBP kills me. What kind of "Pro" product won't let you upgrade even the memory or the hard drive? After 3 years, they'll clearly have much faster, larger NVMe SSDs that would breathe new life into the laptop. But no, they made their own custom interface, and do weird things with the very few 3rd party options on the 2015 models. Newer models won't even let you swap them out. They've ripped out all the useful ports (gig ethernet!) with just a pair of thunderbolt and usb ports and require dongles for everything else, because dongles look so professional. These are only marginally more expandable than their iPads.

I'm still pissed at The Intercept. Their incompetence in handling the original documents is what blew their source. No one is going to leak to them now if they just turn around and give all the incriminating evidence to the government. They really should have known better.

I've been laid off a couple times now. One caught me completely by surprise. So now I pay a lot more attention to the health of the company and just how important my job is to the company. My last job move I noticed the critical customer I was supporting was winding down their usage of our software, which would make me unneeded baggage. The time before, I noticed my manager wasn't fond of me and was unlikely to renew my contract. I've found I can make much better jumps when I'm still employed rather than needing to take the first thing that comes along that pays the bills.
The real killer is DDR4 memory. I can't put together a decent ESXi server without a ton of memory. To build my latest server, I had to pick Xeons that still used DDR3 memory, since I could get that at a fair price.

Each call is a recording with some bogus sales pitch. At some time during the sales pitch, which could last up to 5 minutes, a 5 digit code may or may not be given. This code can then be entered into an interface on the wall, which will deliver a food pellet. This is his only way to eat (although he can get water). He may get time in the yard, but if he misses an important call, he might miss his food.
The most obvious way to determine whether or not the voice on the other end of the line is a chatbot is to specifically ask if they're a robot. If it denies that it is a robot, it totally is a robot. I don't think I've ever had a robot call and admit to being one.
Who the heck makes a Linux laptop and leaves out the middle mouse button? I mean, come on. Know your target audience. I'll stick with Thinkpad laptops with mouse nubs and middle clicks, thank you very much.

The new Thinkpad P52/P72 laptops support 128Gb using 4x32Gb DIMMs with their Xeon laptop chips. I'd _love_ to get my hands on one of those bad boys!
