  1. Re:It's not you he wants... on State Lawmaker Wants To Ban Anonymous Posting Online · · Score: 1

And what if the website isn't based in Kentucky (if this is a state-wide law) or outside the United States (if this is federal)? Should a webmaster have to research and obey all laws in all jurisdictions where someone could potentially visit their site? This just seems to be a little on the ridiculous side. If this bill passes and becomes an issue for webmasters, there will be a huge potential for outsourcing sites that value internet anonymity.

That said, however, I don't feel particularly broken that their members are getting screwed by their own representative It's not the members that are getting screwed in this case though, it is the artists. They entered into contracts with the record companies most likely at a time when you needed the financial help of the record company to get them off the ground, when home recording equipment was not nearly as cheap or as ubiquitous as it is now.

This is an example of an article that may offend Christians. Nobody seemed to have too big of a problem with it (the article) displaying prominently a picture of the work in question. To me, this would be like having a picture of the 'offensive' Danish cartoons displayed with an article about them. Is it really that big a deal?

Why is there such an uproar about free speech and freedom of the press? Thankfully I can print whatever I like, knowing full well that I am responsible for my remarks and the uproar that may ensue. Wikipedia should be completely uncensored and unbiased (wishful thinking).

Why Microsoft would have any desire to do this is beyond me. They are putting themselves into the shoes of non-MS OS's. As we nerds know, most people are satisfied enough with whatever OS comes with their computer and have no desire to put in the work to change to another system. It's not like this is a high profit region, (in the sense of price per unit) they won't be able to shaft the Africans as well as they have the First World consumers. Plus, wouldn't they need to develop some kind of protocol similar to the XO's mesh in order to allow for communication? Or is that a hardware thing?
