I can't believe you just compared stolen credit card numbers to the WTC.

You (and all the responses) should read a book called "ME". It's basically an AI experiment gone awry. It starts as a gov. funded research project, which infiltrates comp systems by first throwing a small attack phage at it, then making room for the bulk of the AI. Which then optimizes the current system & uses the spare cycles, which has the interesting effect of making the infected system run faster & smoother :)

Anyway, it's a great book. I just wish I could remember the author.

It's not like the record companies aren't already paying it, so it's practically free. This seems like a good deal for the record cos.

  16. Re:Your logic is faulty on MacAddict Tracks Down eBay Scam Artist · · Score: 2

Yeah, $10 is pretty cheap. The only problem is it lasts like, what, 10 minutes? "I have a friend" who smokes every day, and if he tried, he might smoke $10 worth of pot in a week. Granted, some people smoke more, some less, and some pot is more (much) expensive.

Not to mention pot isn't addictive in the same manner as crack, crank, or heroin (are crank & h the same thing?). I have lots of friends who have quit pot for one reason or another (usually drug-testing/probation), and they might have been a little bitchy for a while, but they certainly weren't robbing ppl to get cash.

I got a couple of Shonen Knife CDs, for $6 & $9, a High School Hellcats CD for $9, and a Die Cheerleader Die CD for $5.

Shonen Knife I got from half.com. A quick email to DCD & HSH and both setup paypal accounts so I wouldn't be forced to find envelopes & stamps.

Now that I think about it, I also recently purchased a new CD at Best Buy, so that *almost* brings me up to $50 (it was the new Johnny Cash CD, that old man rox u).
