Why doesn't the EU wait until after March 29th to take the vote? UK won't be part of the EU then. It would be weird though having to change your watches going from Southern Ireland to Northern Ireland though, should the UK and Eire adopt different approaches.

MS does seem to be making some decent hardware. However, it's still running Windows 10, which is still shit. I hope the likes of HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, etc. realise they're being screwed over by MS, and start to fully support and promote alternative operating systems.
I don't see what the fuss is all about! Relations between the East and West have never been better. The UK, and large parts of Europe will be dependent on Russian Gas for many many years, which is fine. I don't have a problem with that. The hundreds of years of supply of Coal reserves that the UK has should stay in the ground where it belongs. All UK citizens are totally happy to two or three times more for their power.
Microsoft sealed the fate of.Net by not choosing it as the basis for Windows 8.x and the metro UI. That indicated that Microsoft no longer sees.Net as the next gen framework for Windows,.Net has, of course, done its job. Which was to kill Java. Which, for desktop applications, it has.
As a Windows developer, it leaves me with somewhat of a dilemma. Which framework is the way forward on the Windows platform? It's not MFC, nor Silverlight. Is it.Net? Is it Metro?
The BBC news website, and App has a regular piece reporting what the papers are reporting, and shows photographs of the front pages of all the big UK papers. The review of 'tomorrow's papers is also a regular feature on one of the late news programmes broadcast on the BBC.
The Times, yet again, demonstrates just how poor its journalism is, by trying to use the DMCA to remove any criticism of the paper.

The title of the piece is "Are Tethers the Answer To the Safety Issues of Follow-Me Drone Technology?", so which the answer is an emphatic "No", for all the obvious reasons: collision, tangled tethers, over-head power cables, etc.
The last two cars I've owned have been Renaults. Not only do they key-cards, but they're wireless too. No need to actually dig them out of your bag! How can other manufacturers be so behind???!
I have a BT Mobile Broadband dongle. I have found that BT blocks searching the Internet Archive www.archive.org. I'm guessing that the BT anti-porn filter is simply based on the domain, and can't "see" the page. Try searching for www.bt.com on the Internet Archive! I think the UK ISP porn filters are likely to cause significant issues.
That's why they've employed HUWAEI to run the new porn filter. They have a very good track record of blocking other content types too, such as political decent, etc.
Isn't it rather strange that the other town (which is presumably smaller than Norwich) isn't actually mentioned? It just says in Norfolk. Anyone reading this post might assume that Norfolk is a small town, near the (slightly) larger town of Norwich.

So, let's get some facts straight: Norfolk is a county. Big place. Famous for it's water-ways which are called "The Norfolk Broads". Norwich is a city. Famous for Coleman's, a brand of sauces (especially mustard), and, of course, the Norwich City Football Club (a soccer team), which just happens to be owed by Delia Smith, a famous TV chef, and next-in-line to the Throne (if all the Royals get nuked). OK, I made that last bit up!
However, that might explain why my (EMC) Iomega StoreCenter ix12 300r is such a useless PoS. The hardware seems reliable enough, but the software just doesn't work. It's coming out of the rack next month, because the 2U space is more important than this 'server'.
You're almost right. Actually, JavaScript is the new C. The GNU Compiler Collection should now actually be ported to JavaScript. I also suggest that a new UI be created using HTML5. It's about time GCC was tightly coupled to an IDE so we can move away from the command line.
