Except that for most things you spend more when you buy at walmart because the quality is much lower.
The Levi jeans you buy at walmart (or almost any other name brand product) is not the same as the levis you buy at say jc penny. They look the same but the quality is actually much lower and so they don't last as long. That's how they sell things cheaper than other stores. They get companies to make and sell them an inferior version of their product for less money.
Go search for the article on the guy who said no to walmart. It explains it a lot more.
I never buy anything from walmart either because of this and because of how shitty they treat not only their employees.
Hey I do the same thing -work 12 hour shifts and only 15 days a month or so.
I really enjoy it, amd am a a few pounds overweight but definitely not fat and I have son much extra days off my sex life definitely doesn't suffer. I could stand to exercise more but I am working on that too.
While godaddy is about the worst I've seen/heard complaints about many registrars regarding this kind of thing.
So my question is who is a good registrar that won't immediately take down your site due to a DMCA or any similar notification without letting you have your say first?
Of COURSE they are going to spontaneously resurrect - HELLO??? Radioactive Zombie Wars!! We need the nuclear zombie killer bombs if we're going to survive!
Orwell of course predicted this type of thing but not quite in the same way. Had he lived a bit longer I'm sure he would have extrapolated emerging technologies to this sort of thing - videotaping people and sending it in.
David Brin did exactly that in his novel Earth. Before the onset of the WWW and when the internet was still in its infancy he extrapolated and predicted people wearing special glasses that could record everything. If they witnessed a crime they could then easily upload the video to the proper authorities with incredible ease.
In most places and most times, you can buy a place for a smaller monthly payment than you can rent it.[1]
I don't know this "most places" you speak of... where are they? In my experience in most cities where most people live cost of owning a house is 3-4x renting.
I currently rent a studio @ 920/mo. If I wanted to buy a house in the city I live in I would be paying 3-4k/mo. Unless I wanted to live in a leaky shack - then it might be just 2k/mo.
And don't get me started on all the condos going up everywhere - even now. Advertising for new homes "Starting at just $1 Million"
That and my less then perfect credit and I would be lucky to be able to buy a doghouse.

Also in Japan some of the boats that hunt dolphin will beat the dolphin to death while it's on the boat before storage because they believe it causes the pain of the beating causes it to release chemicals that make the dolphin meat taste better.
We are currently switching from Symantec to Vipre by Sunbelt Software. We used to use a combination of Symantec and Counterspy (by Sunbelt) and anytime there was an issue Counterspy caught it and symantec did nothing.
Vipre seems to do a really good job without hogging resources. Take a look at it if you need an enterprise solution.
The company I used to work for had the same problem. We had around 40 offices of various sizes spread throughout the US so it made sense for us to go with web based services for as many things as we could as that was the easiest.
Our core business software was this huge database that had several front end webservers connected to it and all our users would just go to the web page, log in, and do their work.
The company that made this software (which was only 1 of 2 companies that provided the specialized software we needed to use for our business) is taking a really long time to get all the necessarry updates out so our 500 client machines can upgrade to IE7. And even if we switched companies which would be a huge effort in of itself, that other company is just as far behind in doing the same thing for their software.
So essentially they are stuck using IE6 until the core business software is fully updated for IE7. And no, the software does not run effectively on any other browser.
Im not saying it invalidates anything. I agree it shows evolution in action. All Im saying is that it seems to me that the rate at which we are increasing our knowledge of biology that we will at some future time be able to direct the evolution of ourselves and other species.
Thus at some point there will be evolution via Intelligent Design because we will be using OUR intelligence to direct and design ourselves and new species.
The acceleration of gravity probably is 5.6 m/s^2 - on some smaller planet or large moon. There are probably lots of places in the universe where that is the gravitational effect. The effect of gravity is not universally constant you know - it's different everywhere. It's even different on different places on the earth.
You know what I find funny and striking about the E Coli experiment? If you look at it objectively it's evolution through ID - you had an intelligent designer (a human) who introduced an artificial environment to a species and then watched what happened. I don't think the bacteria would really have ever been in that type of environment in the natural world.
Now the IDer didn't know what would happen and it wasn't necessarily directed one way or another - but it still looks like evolution via ID to me.
Our scientific knowledge is rapidly approaching to the point where we ourselves could become an Intelligent Designer to modify and create new species from already existing ones via direct gene manipulation or as in the case with the bacteria, forced mutation via a controlled environment.
Maybe you want to create E Coli that can metabolise a different substance? Just do the same experiment but substitute citrate for substance x and see if in 50k or so generations some of them do mutate with the wanted ability.

It's actually been officially reclassified as "Disassociateve Disorder"
I know because I know someone who has it.

Im waiting for the 3 digiters to post... then I can feel really young again.
You mean like this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFAJDbV9Vfs
That Novell server was only missing for 4 years.
There was one at the Univ. of Wa that was missing running nonstop for like 9 years behind a wall of sheet rock!
No no - with that kind of speed you don't download porn - you SERVER porn!

Have you tried installing the IE tab for FF and then tried using mlb.com by opening it in FF using the IE tab?
Ive found the majority of sites that work "only" in IE can work in FF using the IE tab.

What about the Das keyboard from thinkgeek.com?
It's a lot like a model M as far as I can tell - I have one and it's great.
Of course, if you're a novice typist it might be a bit difficult for you as NONE of the keys are labeled -but I like it what way!
Sounds like a rip-off of a short story by Ray Bradbury that I can never remember the name of that is similiar.
