In fact, something like that turned up this morning in Des Moines, IA, where a husband and wife went to vote. They have voted in this same polling location for 34 years and have been registered to vote with the same address. The wife was told she was registered in Ankeny, a suburb town to the north, and could not vote at her normal location. Again, here, they are registered Republican.
Perhaps this will turn out to be an organized and targeted attack?
After all, you've go the superior OS, the source and everythings hunky dory. Why then would you care what some vendor you don't use is doing with thier source?
...design a printer with a single 6 color cartridge. It's bad enough my printer has 3 colors in one cartridge. Nothing like sucking money from the weak of mind.
"McBride, 44, is pitting SCO against an industry it once helped develop. Less than two years ago SCO, formerly Caldera International Inc., was helping to form a standard version of Linux to compete with Microsoft Corp.'s Windows."
What are the odds some of their own placed the code?
I, for one, would like to see more stories like this, even bring back the old ones for review every couple of years. Technology in espionage may be it's highest use.
Why is it that whenever Microsoft "invents" something that everyone else has had for decades, it's "big news" and "innovation" ?
For the same reason that, when the fed upped the speed limit to 75, it was hyped as being "big news" and "innovative", when everyone had been doing it for years.
After all, one of the selling points of SA6 was that you could get upgrades every 2 years at a reduced price. If they push it back to 2006, they will dramatically miss their deadline according to the terms of the deal.
Sure, but I don't think that's the goal. It's my belief that this gives users a real reason to upgrade to XP. I use and enjoy MS products, but I just don't see them going for the long investment. At least, that's not their track record.
Not so. Evolution (which, by the way, is popular not proven) is an external process. Internal processes are effecting this behavior. Rather than claiming the all emcompasing and ever-changing Evolution, wouldn't it be simpler to chalk it up to selfishness? Doesn't (most) every guy want a pretty woman?
My father was a professional photographer for 30 years. His favorite is his Nikon F2. Put any Nikkor lens on it and it's a jem indeed. Of the 20 or so photographers who worked with that company there was only one that didn't use a Nikon; he used a Cannon.
While Cannon, Olympus and Minolta may all produce good cameras, none have the universality of the Nikon with the F mounts. And Nikkor optics can't be beat. The only thing I've ever found off with the Nikons is that some of the automatic lenses can be noisey.
If Windows had been created "right"?

Of course, one could point out if previous versions of Windows had been created "right" or "ran correctly," there wouldn't be need for a whole chapter (or even reams of books) on Microsoft fixes or how to get it to run properly.
What... right like Linux? Which version of the kernel? Or did you mean a specific distro? Which one?
Or are you talking about having the computer configured the correctly out of the box? Configured to whose preferences? Which hardware?
Remember the "P" in PC stands for "Personal". The whole idea is that you can whack it into submission, unlike servers run by us uptight, high-strung operators.
Is there an RFC on the Robot Fight Club?

Wookie. 2m tall, sounds about right. Large like a gorilla, but more like a chimp or orangutan? Yep, it's Chebacca alright.
I grabbed a shot of it the moment the smoke went up and the server went down. It's on my (God help me) blog.
Actually, since the hamster is a beast (albeit small), it should be named Grendel. Name your cat Beowulf!
Sure... Millions already have. It's called Welfare or Medicare, or Medicaid...
Heh... Never thought of converting hp to watts. Let see here 1100 watts is...
~1.5hp.
I have a horse and a half microwave and a 3500 watt lawnmower!
Now, of course, we just use transporter buffers. The only trouble being that you sometimes have to jiggle the handle a few times.
This should keep the riff-raff at bay.
So, you were a cabinet member then? Secretary perhaps?
In the American West, these are common. We call them Swamp Coolers. We have moist pads on 4 sides and exhaust throught the bottom, usually.

What's more, since these algorithms test language, some of the languages used by China might be better suited to searching... or not.
Just stick one of these to your forehead. I imagine this can be done with *very* low decibels.

Why should the EU be given any control over the military power that allowed it's constituent nations to for the union in peace rather than be soviet?
