Otherwise if it's molecularly the same, who cares if it came from a factory where it was grown artificially or if some critter carried it around before having it shorn off.
I care, because I want to be able to have the taste of meat without having to grow & kill an animal.
(BTW, I'm probably about as far from a left-winger as you can imagine, at least on some issues.)
If Amazon turns Whole Foods into just another generic Safeway-like grocery store, then that's how they'll be screwing up.
I could see that being true for existing Whole Foods shoppers, but since I don't buy their foofy stuff, I DO go got places like Safeway. If Amazon can get grocery prices even lower (for the same or equivalent products), great.
I've never played it myself, but it's getting a lot of love on some video game podcasts I listen to. Some of the guys on Giant Bomb are old farts like you & I too.
I just confirmed, it can be played first or third person.
It always seems weird to me that the various brand products are vetted in visual media, but, as far as I know, not or mostly not in books. (For example, Stephen King uses a lot of real brands in his books, and I actually like it -- it makes things seem more realistic.) I realize for movies & TV, nowadays they often are getting product placement (payment or at least the use of free products to film with).
My favorite counter-example is MTV. They always fuzz out the "other" brand (e.g. if Pepsi is involved with this season of "Real World", they fuzz out Coke T shirts and products). The funny thing is, this always makes me pay WAY more attention, and try to figure out (when it's not obvious) what's being fuzzed out.
I would have hoped Clinton would have nominated Merrick Garland. Heck, I wish Trump would have nominated him. I honestly have no idea if he should have been confirmed, but he absolutely should have gotten a confirmation hearing/vote.
You really don't think the MAJORITY of them aren't vegetarians/vegans because of the killing issue?
I admit I don't have any proof either, but my guess is that that is by far the main reason people are vegetarian/vegan.
I eat meat, but if/when lab meat gets as cheap/tasty (or even _close enough_) as conventional meat, especially if it's more healthful (I realize that's not necessarily going to happen), I'd switch to it.
(I admit I've also gone to a few showings that had only a couple other people, so it sort of undercuts this next point...)
I think seeing a movie with a crowd CAN be fun.
Also, do you really have as big a screen/sit as close to fill your view that a movie screen does? Seems unlikely.
I've only recently started going back to the theaters more often (I had gotten a bunch of Fandango discount codes from the yearly Safeway Monopoly game, buying stuff I was already going to buy), and usually went to the first showing of the day. I do think it's fun to see a movie in a theater, even after it's been out a while..
Well, only in some states, and even in those states, IF the reason were the talk, and they had previous permission (revoked way too close to the talk time), would that still be a valid reason?
That is, even in an at will state, isn't a "bogus" reason invalid?
They definitely should sue, since they were apparently originally given permission. (Upon reading only the headline, I had expected them to not have even gotten permission.. IF that were true, which it wasn't, then of course they should have been fired (in this hypothetical situation).
EV drivers in their normal everyday lives never stop and think "Oh, I need to stop for gas on the way home" because they start every day with a full tank. The time to connect your vehicle at home is basically insignificant (not that you have to charge every day if for some reason you don't want to).
I don't want to since I can charge at work.. but even then, I only do it a couple of times a week at most (when I need to), and I have one of the lowest range cars.
I even had a battery problem that was fixed under warranty, and that was a hassle.. but nowhere near as much a hassle as going to the gas station all the time, getting oil changes on schedule, getting it smogged every 2 years, etc..
Also as trivia for./-ers, Sears also happened to be the exclusive distributors of the first home edition of Atari-Pong (which they called Telegames)
Maybe this is well known, but I just heard it from Al Alcorn's recent talk at California Extreme (Classic Arcade Games Show, caextreme.org).
Atari DID go to a toy show (I don't remember if it was the now famous toy show that happens early every year and is covered on the news, etc.), but NOBODY else was interested in Pong.
Sears had the exclusive because they were the only one interested (they had been contacted separately).
My total mortgage payment, including interest, is lower than what many others in the area pay for rent. Yes, they may think their place is better, but Iâ(TM)m talking about just financially.
Of course my borrowed money went to pay for the house. My calculations in my original reply were comparing paying back the loan vs investing that money. So I didnâ(TM)t borrow money TO invest it (not counting my house), I am investing what OTHERWISE would be paying back the loan faster or having paid in cash or having put down a larger down payment.

I want level 5 autonomous vehicles. I can't imagine not having my own car... Until we get driverless Uber.
Of course they won't be perfect. They just need to be better than the average human driver.
I've never played it myself, but it's getting a lot of love on some video game podcasts I listen to. Some of the guys on Giant Bomb are old farts like you & I too.

....and the name of that feature film is?????
+1 informative.
Duhh. I had to even look up "Squeenix" on wikipedia, then re-confirmed who published Arkanoid, but didn't look further for mergers.
Uhh, what? Taito published Arkanoid.

Ron Swanson, is that you?

This is forking unbelievable.
How the heck can one reliably yield 10%?

It's not fiction, it's just delayed/indirect bartering. Vaguely analogous to the many-person organ-swap rings that are being done nowadays.
Money is just the placeholder so I don't have to go fix farmer John's computer and get a gallon of milk in return.
OK, then I guess you're saying that we don't have proof of "In an email to Motherboard, Hearn confirmed that he shared the emails with the user."
Did you even read the summary? 1) some other user published them, 2) the original recipient of the emails said they are real.
Yes, both of them could be lying, but isn't the recipient/participant in the conversation saying they're real verification for these purposes?
Googling, I see many stories of usages and trials of electric school busses.
