I live round the corner from GCHQ Cheltenham, and there are signs every few meters on the fence stating that it's a restricted area and that because of the official secrets act, I cannot photograph it. That's ok by me, as both google and live both have razor sharp images of the building and surrounding land.
I've lived there for so long, the site no longer holds any interest for me, but it does kind of make a mockery of the ruling. Hell, in the live bird's eye view, I can see my car on my driveway.
Have you got the left hand side hard button set to that? When you press that button, the phone waits five seconds for you to press * to lock the handset. It's a throw back to the old "MENU *" handset lock all Nokias do.
Try setting another button to the function, and see if it still takes that time.
Couldn't agree more. Here in the UK, we have a chain of stores called "Maplin" They're a big warehouse type place for batteries, components, bulbs, and other geeky fun things.
A few years ago, they shifted focus away from that and started selling crappy overclocking gear, lexmark printers, and kids toys. My local Maplins went from a place where I had circuit diagrams both drawn and debugged for me, to a baffling shithole full of talking piggy banks and blue LED'd cooling fans. Not surprisingly, all the bright people have upped and left, and it's now staffed with people who don't really know anything about electronics, and don't care to.
(UK) I took delivery of a Smart ForTwo two weeks ago, and the grin still hasn't left my face.
They're superbly well made, very very quick off the mark. I grew up driving Minis (proper minis, not those funny BMW things) and this Smart is the logical progression.
On the bad side, they're noisy when you stick your foot down hard, the traction control is a bit keen in places, and the standard stereo system blows.
Other than that, I could not be happier. Please take one for a test drive before you judge!
Yeah, dog only knows what the standing wave ratio of this hack is going to be. I was always taught to use antennas and cable length for the frequency you're looking to transmit.
Word. I play Planetside (werner - TR "plainslot") and I've seen that "Runs great on" thing so many times, I'm numb to it now.
Don't forget the Nvidia thing just after the loading screen that you never see because you're clicking the mouse.;)
I wouldn't mind ads on the loading screen, but I think it would be taking the piss to have in game ads. "This Reaver brought to you by Northrup Flight Dynamics"
Yup, he would. And the worst he could do is ask me to leave I guess. Like I said, I'm not interested in seeing/filming HP, at least then you'd know if you were in a cinema where this was happening. My local cinema is an Odeon, but there's a Warner about half an hour down the road.

On my N80, you can set the up, down, left, and right of the joystick to launch different apps. Might be worth looking at.

You forgot DESU.

Bummer.
I've had one on back order for a week now here in the UK. Looks like a really cool little widget, I can't wait to try it out.
I always liked the dancing robot... "I dunno what is does, but it's good isn't it?"
Cracked me up, everytime for some reason.

No thanks

Say you took a reasonably high powered IR LED, and fitted it to a 9v battery, would its output be enough to blind the night vision?
I've got no interest in seeing OR ripping off Harry Potter, but I don't take kindly to being spied upon in a movie theatre.
I'd say it looks more like a NeoGeo Pocket colour myself.

That would involve me trusting Sky... So, no.
Still probably quicker just to torrent it.
Here, Sky have decided to stitch BGnew into a movie and show it on their movie channel, as opposed to Sky one, where my simpsons, 24, and trek.. are.
I guess now I'm going to have to hit a torrent for it.
unfortunately, there's no glass in any of the cars anymore.
Well, hobbymagic claim to sell the blank DVDrs, but everytime I look, they're sold out.

Actually, I'm English, but thanks for playing.
Dude, we're all humans, and we're all in this together. Your probe worked (wooyay), ours didn't. (doh)
There is such a thing as a bad winner you know.
08:20Zulu December 25th.
Happy to help.
Depends on what they're pushing I guess, if it's Aldi 7p baked beans, they'll probably do alright.
I didn't think it was that bad here in the UK...
Yes! Thank you! I was starting to think I was the only one who thought that!
myself, I'd be happy with a built in (S)VCD maker.
Cheap media, good enough for non HDTV stuff, I'd be happy.
