    In UK law If someone demands money from a person and threats at further hostile action it's termed "Demanding money with menace" and is a criminal offence. The Lawyer is basically saying "Pay my clients the money or we'll take you to court and take more money off of you." he has not provided any evidence other than "we got proof" which could mean anything from a bit of paper with the words "he's guilty!" scrawled on it in crayon, to a full IP tracking of every data packet too and from his machine. Best thing the guy can do is contact the Lawyer and ask for proof...

    The RIAA are trying to get as many cases on the books as possible before any ruling in their current legal battles is made. They probably think they will loose and will push for the judgement NOT to be retroactive. i.e. all current cases can go forward and they are free to extort monies to settle or going to trial. It's called hedging your bets...

That people can't just walk away from flying head first through a wind shield after hitting a cop car at 100Mph... That you can't use a car to bash 20 - 30 cars into pedestrians and still be able to drive it away.. Or something just as stupid....

    hell.... EVERY E.U.L.A. is invalid. You can't agree to a licence if it's inside a shrink wrapped box before you buy it!...... You can't use the software unless you agree to the EULA. The only way to agree to the EULA is to read it. Only way to read it is to open the Box. By opening the box you Agree to the EULA. Catch 22 without a law degree.

    Well if the UK' TV licence detection van's can do it why not the NSA? Seen a Detection van pull a reasonable image off of the interference put out by a CRT in a van 30 feet away!! NSA gotta have more sensitive equipment! Then again, Knowing the UK TV Licence team, they could probably get more info out of the American embassy using their van, than any spy around.... ;)

    Lucky for me I can "Borrow" my neighbours Wireless connection. (I really should tell him about the security Tab).... :) So I'm not worried, well I've not played EVE since I've changed ISP's. But you never know if they'll ban the IP it's been D/L on THEN the user uses that IP to play for the first time... If that happens, there lot's of players on Dynamic Addresses are gonna be very annoyed!! Lawyer Time!!!

    Just been on to the website. It's up but Very very slow... Apple will probably Kill this dead but if i did buy a Mac it would be something like an 'OpenMac' just so that i know i can stick it to Jobs and Co :D lol.     I don't think I'm immune just because I'm running Linux. I run AVG on my laptop. I'm careful of what i download and i never run as Root. I think I'm immune because I'm careful. :D

    (probably get flammed for this but...) If you're that worried about Viruses. Drop Windows and look into a Linux install instead. :D But if you wan't to keep windows then keep running Virus scans and praying to the FSM on an hourly basis..:D
