If I were a tech company owner I'd worry more about off-shored employees taking code/secrets with them. I know a contractor company that is now developing a competing product to something our vendor hired them to write in the first place. So our vendor basically paid them to develop the skills and domain knowledge they would need to build this thing, got a so-so quality product from them, and soon they will have a new competitor. Note: I don't know any of the legal issues involved. Seems like there should have been a non-compete clause in there somewhere, but either it's being ignored or it was never there in the first place.
Reminds me of my aunt who took her cousin's ashes across the country (US) to be buried in her home town. She kept the ashes in the glove compartment of her car. And forgot about them. Until a year later when she was planning her next trip out west she suddenly remembered her promise, and the ashes that were still in the glove compartment. So she rushed out to the cemetery (or wherever) with a video camera and quick held a funeral with her brothers and sisters so she would have evidence that she did, indeed, bury the ashes. Then she quick packed the video and headed out on her trip to meet the very family that had made the request to begin with. Now the only question I have is, was the video date-stamped, and did anyone notice? I don't think I will ever know.
I don't know, I've seem some weird things get stolen. A friend of mine had the control panel for his AC/Heat ripped right out of the console. I mean, what are you going to do with one of those??? Most of the wire connectors were still intact so he controls it all by reaching in and making connections. Why didn't they steal the CD player? Because that was already gone -- stolen a long time ago and never replaced. They've stolen water bottles, bags of chips, anything from that car. He intentionally leaves it unlocked now because he got sick of paying to have the windows fixed every time they broke in. But the genius is that he's turned it into an advantage. Now when he has old computers or electronics that he would have to pay to recycle he just leaves them in the car and pretty soon they're gone. No fuss, no fees. I'm halfway expecting the thieves to start leaving charitable donation receipts on the seats. But then, they'd probably steal those, too.
I once interviewed an old German immigrant who had lived in Nazi Germany during WWII. Ask him which of our freedoms is the most precious in America, and he will emphatically tell you that it's freedom of the press (I was expecting the right to bear arms or vote). But even a tyrant needs public opinion to some extent. And the easiest way to get that is to control what gets recorded and distributed and what doesn't.
It's awful hard to get up in arms over something after the new season of American Idol starts up. If this happened while that was between seasons, oh boy!

in all seriousness, the girls could give the guys tips on how to pick up women. The game thing helps because these are (presumably) shy guy types that would find it awkward to talk to girls in any other situation. But put them in a virtual world with zombies to fight and they're right at home, like it's tea-time. Just saying, the venue makes the difference for shy types.
Can the government do a better job? It would be hard to imagine how they can screw it up even more.
Most (as in, more than half, with some estimates going up to 90%, but I don't think I've seen any that said less than 60%) Americans do have adequate health care. Usually from their employers. Can that be improved? Of course. A lot. But is it really "hard to imagine how they can screw it up even more?" That statistic could drop to 50%, 40%, 30%, etc. That would be worse, wouldn't it?
Whether it makes him a jerk or not, it does reveal that he likes getting his money as soon as possible, even before the book was ready to ship. That's not a trait I like to see in someone in his position.

That's how I want to be disposed of.

She was in the presence of an adult.
Members of the American religious right also oppose its creation on moral grounds.
I respect freedom of opinion, but this attitude is plain fucking stupid.
I didn't realize until I read your post that respecting freedom of opinion is completely separate from respecting another opinion.
Zingggg! I kid, I kid.
Ontario and Quebec is actually called Eastern Canada. Those 3 provinces west of Ontario are central. While British Columbia is West.
Central Canada.
I believe your information is a little outdated, as illustrated by this map of the known world.
Subject says it all....

Improving customer service is great, but the best customer service, like the best weapon, is the one you never have to use.
Obligatory Simpsons quote:
Cable Phone Support: Yes, we can send someone out to your house. Can someone be home between 1:00 and July?
Homer: Yes.
Well, at least it sounds all cool and ninja-like. In reality he was probably just trying to get a soda from a vending machine or something.
Whatever it takes... except, you know, driving instead.
I'm not sure but I suspect that K-Y Jelly will be involved.
If you're lucky... I think you'll get the K-Y Jelly in first class only...
And only in a 2 oz. bottle contained in a clear plastic bag.
...craving a double cheeseburger right about now?

Not only that, but lack of an atmosphere can be hard on the lungs. We should really stay here where it's safe and warm.
