I want the opposite. I want all that plus the ability to check e-mail, look at a map, watch a movie, play music, and maybe play a game or two without lugging my laptop for a day trip. I want to be able to dump images from my camera to see if I need to re shoot anything. The list goes on. I don't want to have to carry separate devices for these tasks.
I won't be getting one immediately, but if the iPhone OS 4.0 multitasking rumors turn out to be true I'll get one immediately.
Well, if it's old enough it could very well be filled in by dirt and soil and the edges could have been eroded. Given the position of sun in the image there is no distinct elevation change in the image.
True, except it is perfectly possible to create something that works in both IE6 and IE 7/8 and Firefox and Safari. Coding for IE6 only, even back in 2003 or 2004 is just plain lazy and bad practice, period, end of story. If you know what you're doing, (and a professional web app developer should, don't you think?) making a web app, even one with a lot of CSS and JavaScript work on IE6 and Firefox, etc, just ain't that hard. I've been doing it for years.
I think these kind of tests should start to include virtualization benchmarks. I'd really like to know, for example, how do VMWare, Virtul Box, Parallels, etc. benefit from these new processors?
Typical government reaction to a problem: Making life harder for those who follow the rules, and not really impacting the relatively small percentage of people that are / cause the problem. This is how government always reacts. Couple of examples:
I can't get sudafed at the store without showing ID, signing a register and waiting in line at the pharmacy. Bunch of people still making crystal-meth.
I can't legally own a hand-gun in Chicago, yet 400 people a year get murdered with one.
I, for one, advocate enforcing the laws that already exist...
Agreed. I wasn't all that impressed with the first AC, and I was considering trying AC 2 to see if it's a better game, but not under these circumstances. I've got too much work to do anyway. I'll just wait for Portal 2...
Generally speaking the graphic design and of course the content (textual content, photographs you have licensed, etc.) of the site is yours to do with as you please, but the underlying source code (PHP and JavaScript) remain the intellectual property of Company, LLC. You may modify them as needed, but you may not duplicate the software for use on other websites, and you may not distribute derivative works. This license is transferrable as long as Company, LLC is notified in writing of the transfer, and may verify that the transfer has taken place.
Clutter is the wrong word, however, you are correct in that the use of unpublished APIs should be enforced. The problem with the average use is, that if an App uses a private API and that API changes, the user will blame Apple when the next version of iPhone OS breaks the app. Developers should NOT use unpublished APIs in production software.

The dumbing down of the user base has gone a little too far here...
IMO the "user base" has never been smart enough to dumb down. Actually it's more to the point that the user base doesn't care or want to know about such things, they just want stuff to work.
You haven't read Atlas Shrugged, have you? If you have you clearly did not understand it. Do not confuse what some people do today to twist Objectivism to their own benefit.
Wrong. At most they'd have a civil case against him for the cost to restore the machine.
Different people have different wants and needs.

Either the problem was on my end or they fixed it...

Adam and Jami couldn't build it so this must be fake.

One wonders if it will come in 5LB and 10LB varieties. Imagine if you had to take a 10 pound shit but only had a 5 pound bag available...
So, you don't use toilet paper?

I have a Model-M that I love. it was based on the selectric AFAIK. http://www.pckeyboard.com/
but that does not mean that the condition is unimportant, or not to be taken seriously.
I think in this case that's exactly what it means.

Hopefully some hot shot lawyer will hit the city with a lawsuit.
Not if the consumer doesn't buy Microsoft products it won't.
You have to use the shotgun and shoot them in the head! Shooting them with a handgun just pisses them off.
