find us a PC with 1/2 the processing power of the PS3 for ~$200-250 and we can throw the theory out.
scratch that, just show me another consumer (one that i can buy) computer (anyprice) with the processing power of the PS3 and we can edge the theory toward the window.
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." (Acts 2:38)
or colloquially - repent and ye shall be forgiven
IMNAL but as far as i can tell - the proceeding hasnt yet begun. That is the case isnt yet being heard. Regardless the data from the memory on the phone can be recovered if they really want it (spend more time / $ on getting it)
my average skill across all disciplines completely and utterly sucks.
and for the same reasons, the average person's skill in a given discipline completely and utterly sucks.
you are right, i am insulting the majority of people (well actually i'm insulting everyone on the face of the planet [if you find this to be insulting]). but as far as i can see, these are the facts.
you said:
Do you think that these major mainstream media entities are giving the show press because they think it's a great cultural opportunity that the average person should go see?
my answer is yes - and i think your implication that the opposite is true is unfounded. i should also say - that i think the basis of media coverage is to get people to be less average (especially if klingon / Star Trek is one of your interests)

you are missing the point of art.
to note: the average person doesnt go see anything, only enthusiasts.
also the average person is of average intelligence (IQ of 90-110), has an average salary (~32KUSD [US numbers only]), has an average looking girlfriend (no figures on this one, but IMNSHO is not to my standard),
this list goes on and on and on. but the point is - average not only sucks but cant afford to see a stage show & cant appreciate a stage show.
i think this is exactly what he was getting at. WTF where you modded troll i dunno. - problem is he was completely putting the PR spin on it, but well, why would we expect any less from any corporation?
My grandfather died in WW2, could you please remove the Germans from all your future WW2 games as well? The Japanese, too.
to take the other point of view..
what if they replaced Taliban with Germans/Japanese / North Koreans ? i wonder how well that would go over. yes i know it has been done in the past, but to outright swap the two would be a huge slap to the people of these other origins. oh wait, that was the point... carry on
as someone who designed parts of BT's 21CN project (revamp of the country's network infrastructure) i can tell you the BT owns all of the network backbone (not all of the last mile though). So if what you assert is true, that would be a hell of a lot of power for BT.
This cant be right, but the world is filled with so much wrong- so go figure...
agreed but i think it is very erroneous (and that it creates obscurity) to put a label on them (hipsters) - you follow up with a definition of the word used, i think that was enough to be crystal clear about who you were talking about.
no black is a colour. in an additive colour system (e.g. paint) black the presence all colours. in a subtractive colour system (e.g. stage lighting) black is the absence of colours. with white the opposite respectively. using your logic all colours in the RGB scale aside from red, blue, & green are not colours.
most likely the person who is distributing them - that is you cant share something if it hasnt been created (by you or someone before you, who distributed it to you)
malfunction = you winning. problem?
tin foil hats for everyone!!
