back when i started out as a phone supporter in 1994 i worked as a freelance and really wanted to be employed by this company. But all over sudden they told me to leave and i went out and signed in another company for much better conditions. But as they say you always meet twice. So i went to the munich oktoberfest and ran into my bosses boss. He was really wasted and when he heard my story he got angry and must have called my former chief. Well, finally my old boss called me in again and it was my pleasure to hear him beg me to come back. Needless to say i didnt, but it was true fun. Now im self-employed and work for his firm from time to time...but i cash in pretty much and i guess he hates my bills...;-)
Yeah, great! Glad i bought that FCKW-free refrigerators lately. Could have saved me some money;-/ At least i didnt upgrade my car with a katalysator...would have been the next useless investment...
If you would have told me two years ago that i would see this at slashdot i wouldn't have believed you. Well, in the end we're all in it for the moeny, heh??;-)
Here in the office we had two people using their Cordless Freedom(TM) iTouch(TM). And it was really fun watching both get mad while loosing contact with their mousecursor ten times a day;-)
Hi, i already opened a thread on the page this morning. Maybe you could help us out, Im a bit new to the world of Linux and therefore im having a hard time compiling it myself right now. Mine keeps breaking...heres the Link to our Phoenix Thread.
Since the growing Sony PS2 Linuxkit Community is still in bad need of a decent browser running on the slow but cool box i will give this one a try as soon as i return from the munich oktoberfest later that day. Maybe someone more sober could give it a try on the PS2 as well?
The Windowsversion (that i could try here at work) looks great and renders our intranet pretty well. It still lacks Proxysupport so i cant comment on any other pages yet;-(
I was hoping that this "news" would be exactly what you said but sad enough its not. Its not even a big thing since i can do all that with my pc already.
Btw, the HDs come shipped with the Linuxkit, and you can use any other custom HD as long as you have the Network adaptor. Sounds strange? Heres why...the adapter connects the HD to the proprierty ps2 port.
will be the backbone of my entertainment centre soon. Now that it just became a Linuxbox recently and got a shiny new TFt attached to it it will also work as a vcr...this really rocks.
I know two kinds of Apple users here. Most of my friends tend to install Linux on their old Apples and Linux on their PCs, although most of them use dualboot machines. Nearly everyone also owns a Linux Workhorse Machine of some kind (Printserver, Router, Sambabox, etc.)
But here in the office about 40% use Macs (its a publishing house so this number is pretty high, historically) and the rest of them uses Win2k. So, i dont see these numbers here. Not yet...
I wonder when people will finally figure that touching a DeLorean is a bad thing. Its great the way it is...and i hate to see them pass away bit by bit by silly experiments like this. Use a Twingo...it deserves it...

My Atari Portfolio lasts as long as 4weeks with only one battery load. Ok, it doesnt play DVDs on the other hand... ;-)
That would mean that using a textbroswer would be illegal too, wouldnt it?
the circle is closed.
Yes, life seems to be quite common.
/.ers)
Let me count the potential candidates i heard of so far:
- Earth
- Mars
- Venus
- Europa (no, not the continent you US-centric
- and now even Pluto...i def counted this one out.
My guess was always that life must be a rather common thing. If you look at all the impossible places where life found its way on Planet Earth...
Actually its not greek, its latin:
;-)
Mens sana in corpore sano.
But on the other hand, this requires a healthy mind in the first place
Ive just installed a mouse odometer and launched word, excel, outlook and powerpoint. ;-)
This alone took me 1,45meter.
I bet if i would fire up my favourite OS i could sit in front of a console and find my mouse empty at the end of the day...

And you could use the energy that comes with the turn of the Mousewheel. I bet most of my burned fat goes in the use of this...
Ever tried Armagetron??
And of course the legendary BZflag, a cool 3D Tank Shooter...
