I wonder what the "resolution" of the twin towers.would have been..according to this it had 110 levels but what would the resolution have been if both towers would have acted as one big screen? X x 110...any ideas?
what if we would some day simulate a single human/animal cell and force it to split. Wouldnt that lead to a full featured human being if we simulated the environment right. I wonder what it must be like to live inside a custommade simulation (if we arent already...;-) and what kind of ethical questions this would rise.
I came across this topic lately when i was discussing with a friend who believes that there actually IS something like a soul. I tried to rule the soul out by giving the stated example. So, what do you think? Would a artificially created (simulated) human have some sort of soul, or human rights? And why does it always make me feel like standing in a hall of mirrors?
if so then there would at least be a link to the company selling these. I wanted to buy one because i always thought about getting something like that but now it was too much trouble to look up the url, no link no biz...
Got about 5 or 6 of these sms...and i never called back. Then the other day i got a message reading: "Hi, surprise! Youll never guess who i am..."
- the call came from a number in denmark and i didnt call back first.
Then i remembered that i actually KNOW someone in denmark and i smsed back. It was her!
Boy, i nearly missed to meet an old friend again just because i get spammed all the time...thats sad.
ok, why dont you give us links to what you wrote so we can build an opinion on the actual postings, and why are you posting as an anonymous coward? No offence, I agree with you in general but without the details how can i be sure?
Nice to see that my favourite Newssite finally covers my favourite sport. The USA played some great football this time and I hope to see them in Germany next time. Brasil has really incredible players and its sad to see Oliver Kahn make his first mistake in the final game. But hey, thats football. And we (Germany) will win 2006!;-)
And id like to state that Im still a newbie. Guess this makes Slackware a Newbiefriendly System one more time. Finding stuff on the web is a skill i think i got already, so decss was no prob. cu, Lispy
Impressive. Didnt dare to do this yet. Maybe i should give it a try when 8.1 is frozen. Its a shame that it aint more popular. A lot of stuff has to be compiled from scratch since there are no packages there yet.
But if i could get my hands on a package i didnt have much trouble either.
Hmm...yes I feel the same way. The only major problem of slack is the lack of a decent packaging system. Even though I favor debians apt over RedHats Package Management. I also have to say that in fact Slack IS the best way to learn about Linux (and BSDUnix) and whenever a friend wants to switch from windows to linux i tell him to use Slack. He probably has only heard about Redhat or SuSE but i believe using tools to do the job wont help much when further problems arise.
yeah, if they're smart and keep old games playable on their new consoles they could create a quasi standard giving them the power to dominate the console market for years. Putting a PSone in a Handheld device like a portable DVD would be really great. And if it wasn't for accupower i bet they would have done so...
If you look at PSone and older Sega Systems you will see that a 6 years lifespan is not uncommon in the console business. Its the old rule: If you have known hardware games can get better even on older hardware. If Sony really has a PS3 in the pipe (wich i doubt) it would at least take 2 or 3 years to develop the chips (they make them theirselves ya know) and therefore the 6 year lifespan would still be realistic for PS2. Whats more, with PSone still out on the shelfs chances are that some successful consoles even live longer than that... Console-Biz is NOT PC-Biz. Thats what M$ is learning right now the hard way.
from darkages for speedhacking and using my zippolighter to level skills...argh...

If you want to go faster through the woods you could still use the imperial speeder-bikes, right?
He used to create games like creatures and ran this cool company creaturelabs and now hes selling R2D2-Beerbots at Walmart...reality got him, at last.

Read it. It has a own jack for a headphone. But i agree, the advance headphone sounds fair enough.
