I was there shopping for a video card about a month ago. They didnt give me a lot of crap whilst picking it out, but after i did, I was walking around the rest of the store with it, looking at some stuff, and this employee kept pestering me: "Are you ready for me to take your money now?"

Needless to say, he didnt get the commmission.

  4. I found this little chart on Nintendo Ressurecting Classic NES Games to the GBA · · Score: 3, Interesting

On GameFAQs, that someone compiled of the actual games you will be able to earn in Animal Crossing. Keep in mind the game is only out in Japan, and Nintendo is messing with which games to offer Americans

    In:
    Donkey Kong
    Excitebike
    Punchout!
    Ice Climber
    Pinball
    Baseball

    Unsure:
    Balloon Fight
    Super Mario Brothers
    Tennis
    The Legend of Zelda
    Mario Bros.
    Donkey Kong 3
    Donkey Kong Jr.
    Golf
    Clu Clu Land
    Clu Clu Land Disk Version

    Low Chance of Making it:
    Donkey Kong Jr Math
    Wario's Woods

    Out:
    Gomokunarabe
    Mahjong

So, while there are some good games on there, they are the REALLY 1st gen NES games, with not a lot of depth. I loved pinball and excitebike as much as the next kid, but they are "play an hour and get sick of it games" to me at least. (i think the NES got a little better with time Especially when it game to sports games).

I have my doubts about whether they would actually release Super Mario Bros. or Zelda, seems like it would be smarter to hold onto those for a future GBA release.

Too bad they couldn't get the cooperation of the 3rd parties on this. I would have loved to earn Mega Man 1-6 and maybe some RPG's. (i know, thats unreasonable.)

Mario Bros. (NON-super) should make a great (albeit simple) GBA game.

  24. Scotty is dying... on James Doohan Not In A Coma and Likely To Survive · · Score: 0

It is official; Netcraft confirms: Scotty is dying

One more crippling bombshell hit the already beleaguered Scotty community when IDC confirmed that Scotty market share has dropped yet again, now down to less than a fraction of 1 percent of all servers> Coming on the heels of a recent Netcraft survey which plainly states that Scotty has lost more market share, this news serves to reinforce what we've known all along. Scotty is collapsing in complete disarray, as fittingly exemplified by failing dead last [samag.com] in the recent Sys Admin comprehensive networking test.

You don't need to be a Kreskin [amdest.com] to predict Scotty's future. The hand writing is on the wall: Scotty faces a bleak future. In fact there won't be any future at all for Scotty because Scotty is dying. Things are looking very bad for Scotty. As many of us are already aware, Scotty continues to lose market share. Red ink flows like a river of blood. FreeScotty is the most endangered of them all, having lost 93% of its core developers.

Let's keep to the facts and look at the numbers.

OpenScotty leader Theo states that there are 7000 users of OpenScotty. How many users of NetScotty are there? Let's see. The number of OpenScotty versus NetScotty posts on Usenet is roughly in ratio of 5 to 1. Therefore there are about 7000/5 = 1400 NetScotty users. Scotty/OS posts on Usenet are about half of the volume of NetScotty posts. Therefore there are about 700 users of Scotty/OS. A recent article put FreeScotty at about 80 percent of the Scotty market. Therefore there are (7000+1400+700)*4 = 36400 FreeScotty users. This is consistent with the number of FreeScotty Usenet posts.

Due to the troubles of Walnut Creek, abysmal sales and so on, FreeScotty went out of business and was taken over by ScottyI who sell another troubled OS. Now Scotty is also dead, its corpse turned over to yet another charnel house.
All major surveys show that Scotty has steadily declined in market share. Scotty is very sick and its long term survival prospects are very dim. If Scotty is to survive at all it will be among OS dilettante dabblers. Scotty continues to decay. Nothing short of a miracle could save it at this point in time. For all practical purposes, Scotty is dead.
