It existed for those that wanted something approaching an appliance, and/or were afraid of this "linux" thing and did not know where to start.
If you were afraid of this "linux thing", then Mythbuntu would be the last place you'd end up. Just like people bye Rokus or Plex enabled TVs or an of the vendor provided media streaming solutions that you directly connect to your TV. Also see "buying a home router".
The rest of the civilized world has solved this problem, it's called paid sick leave.
That's *IF* the sick coworkers take it. I know far too many people that come in sick because, "They don't want to get their spouses and children sick."
So instead, they and their hacking cough come into the office and put 100s of other families at risk. I wonder if this stems from when they were children and their mother told them, "You're not sick enough to stay home."
The touch sensor on my iPhone doesn't work if there's the least amount of water on my thumb. Now this isn't a huge problem for me, but if I had to defend my family and the gun wouldn't fire because my fingers were wet or had a foreign substance on it (say grease from food I was eating)... that's a whole different story.
I was shocked recently when I tried to upgrade my laptop which I bought 6-7 years ago for around $800. Almost every laptop I looked at had considerably worse specs than what I currently use.
Citation please that a 6-7year old laptop is a better value than what you can buy now.
I like to watch movies on my home theater setup with the lights out. However... * The TV has a bright blue (which can be somewhat dimmed to not quite as bright blue), * Yamaha AMP (tons of lights here), * mac mini has a LED on the front... * PDU (not a powerstrip)
Only solution I've found so far is black electrical tape or coloring in all the LEDs with a sharpie..
Why does everything need to have these ultra bright lights? We're not trying to light up a baseball stadium here.
Disclosure: My father-in-law maintains the pools at a local University.
This isn't like maintaining your above-ground backyard pool whereby you dump chemicals in by the bucket. These modern pools are computer controlled and have constant monitoring by the systems. As the system detects a change in PH or other imbalance, it automatically adjusts what chemicals are needed to be added. For 99% of maintenance it's about topping off the chemicals in the containers that the system draws from. These pools aren't that heavily used compared to those of a waterpark or other community pool which have hundreds (or thousands) of people in them on a given day.
The views from the back of a motorcycle are much better for seeing the riders up close than any overhead shot. Flying a drone at "rider level" would be just plain dumb. #EasyTargetForCrazyFans.
The helicopter shots are great for seeing the scale of the peloton, the breakaways, finish line sprints and the scenery, but for seeing a rider up close and the pain in their face, or looking back at other riders. Nothing beats the back of a motorcycle.
A 2D movie is $12, 3D is $15.75 and $21 for IMAX-3D. And that's with a standard screens. Once you replace the screen with a complex arrangement of lenses and mirrors to create a set number of parallax barriers...
Ironically, if you're only driving a semi-autonomous car, "you could end up in court fighting to prove the car did wrong, not you,"
Good luck proving it was the car when the manufacturer turns over 100m datapoints showing exactly what happened in every system for every 1ms for the past month.
"I swear I didn't touch the wheel" will go the way of "my dog ate my homework"
So I just finished raising my kids, and will be helping them with their college tuition (much is coming from scholarships). And now I'm expected to foot the bill for a year while they "find themselves" in Europe, Africa or Tibet?
No doubt there's a whole industry around planning and taking my money for my kids to travel around the world or build sandcastles..
In my day, "gap year" was known as Summer Vacation. #GetOffMyLawn
Only in the SF area would someone be able to afford this... and be dumb enough to leave their gas door open.
Filld charges a delivery fee of up to $5 and then asks the same price per gallon for gas as the least expensive nearby gas station.
For most cars $5 worth of gas will get you atleast 40-60miles. If you're truly out of gas and you need this in an emergency then you should have thought about filling up before you go to the office.
If you joined AAAwith a basic membership you get free emergency fuel delivery as part of your membership. Some levels of membership even include the fuel itself for free and not just the delivery. The basic membership is about $50/year and includes towing, roadside assistance, car battery jumping etc..
Most Auto-Insurance companies also include this emergency roadside service.
If you're running an ancient iMac, then any mac-mini will be better than what you have today. Hell, you could get a 2year old *used* mac-mini and be fine.
Looking at the bike itself, the frame is aluminum and the wheels/brakes/handlebars/seat are all common off the shelf parts. So you're not going to be printing anything that is structural. The list of parts you can print are non-essential
Most of that stuff is $10 and below. So in order to do this, you'd have to first buy their $2400 bike and then a 3d printer. I guess if you already have both of these, you can save $10 on a mud guard by printing one yourself.
I do give the company props for giving out the plans, but i'm not sure anybody is going to buy this bike because of this giveaway.

Most restaurants and stores around the Apple HQ do *not* take ApplePay. Though they all take credit cards and cash.

If the credit card changes every hour, how do you recall the previous X number of numbers..
How do returns work whereby the merchant wants to see the original CC number?

I used to use Optical to connect back when I used S-Video... but it's easier with HDMI.

Another example of how Rio screwed up.
Why is it limited to ages 18-30?

Last November back in Korea, Starcraft competitor Nada married his long time gf in the middle of a tournament.

Where are the reports on how we'll be able to connect our existing headphones to the iPhone 7?
It changed how people bought, stored and prepared food.
