I look for a place that will sell me one. Not too big a problem really.
The local supplier would not be able to fill an order a 1000 machines (at least easily) but the mail order place I use likely could. Since I buy one at a time , it works for me.
I always get my medications from the Borgias , why do you ask?
No wonder MSFT is not objecting to Dell selling non windows machines ( if in fact they did not). Did Novell know this when they signed on with MSFT? Will anything be available but SUSE?
A scenario: Dell sells SUSE exclusively, SUSE degrades because of FOSS comm. dislike and GPLv3.
MSFT says "I told you it wasn't vey good, use an OS supported by professionals".
Are you following your dream or one that has been suggested/pushed. What is important to you? Lots of money , to what end? Do you want to be able to walk to work? how about the beach? mountains? Want to live in a house or apartment, small town or large. Where you would rather live Madison WI or Plano Tx?
He looks like he is suing a law firm that uses the IP address that made the changes on Wikipedia. Now what are the chances that the machine at the law firm was cracked and used by persons unknown.
It is nice to see the author realized that Calif. was not the only place that bordered the Pacific. I wonder if the ships from China at San Pedro tipped him off, or maybe he's heard of Australia (no not the one with the Blue Danube, the other one).
When I hit this sort of thing I usually send them a comment like " I'm glad to see your business is doing well enough to get rid of potential customers that don't use IE. bye"
Not a customer of Walmart anyway to it makes no diff.
This acutally had some effect. In London IIRC the removal of CO from the heating gas reduced the incidence of suicide. Guns are scarce, bridges are nerveracking and hanging is not pleasent. CO was the prefered method.
Think of the misery this will cause to peds who now will be aware of the vehicle bearing down on them, piloted by a driver with a cell phone in his/her ear. Before they were blissfully unaware until the moment of impact.
I have noticed a (for lack of a better phrase) less prudish attitude in Canada than in the US. It's just something that is on TV (where I notice it) and so what?
I hope the phone companies don't try it here in the US. It will provoke a backlash that I don't want to endure, and will provide every politician a ready made campaign issue. A perfect issue for your local and not so local demagogue.
I also use a VMware installation of 2000. Works well. I use it for spread sheets (excell is a good spread sheet)* and Turbotax. I also keep it behind a firewall (dual home slackware with snort and iptables) . Turbotax needs the internet for updates , however I do not use it for browsing. I also only turn it on when needed.
As a solution it seem to work well.
* Yes gnumeric is good, but slack does not support gnome , and trying to gather
the dependencies for gnumeric is a thankless/impossible task.
Couldn't find a price in the article (may have looked to fast). For the last 2-3 years I have been getting them for less than $1 each. Is Wally mart doing better?
The only things that are hard to find (at a low price) are the very small wattages, the CFL equivalent of 25W.
THe local drug store had 20w CFls at $.99. These are too big for most things but...
Can't really see that WM is doing something , other than blowing their own horn.

Which ever one first decides to provide some interesting content gets my vote.
In the battle of the inane vs the vacuous there are no winners.
and with any luck it wont come back.
Never liked flash anyway

OH, nevermind
Way to go Turkey.
Should be a giant "shove off" , "get lost" , "stuff it", etc. ...

Maybe he should have sued McDonalds , they're always around and have deep pockets.
The only question is how it was modified and how long ago.

Until there is content worth watching it doesn't matter.
NB: I didn't think we were THAT close to an election.
Remind me again, what percentage of the population of Canada live with how many miles of the US border?
If it's cheap , YES.
