One of the worst abuses of this is scientific journals that lay mouldering in a few libraries around the world. There is no financial incentive to digitize them yet no legal way for people to voluntarily do it.
"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."
Order obsession... I am one of those people that benefit from creating questions before I can absorb the basics. If I tinker with something first it is much easier for me to scan the manual for the areas I need help.
I don't see anything wrong with learning JAVA and then seeing how JAVA works by learning c/assembly.
Maybe a better analogue would be make using 'hacker tools' illegal across public networks. Setting up a private network to learn and experiment should be legal.
I agree, however, that there is danger in this vaccine in that it can also affect a lot of anesthetic's used for medical purposes.
Not really, cocaine is unique in that it is an ester and easily metabolized by the bodies Esterase enzymes. This is why it was a good candidate for the vaccine.
Don't forget 'no-remote': I have invariably lost every remote that was paired with my gadgets. I have a dvd player that will play but no way to select menu options. AFAIC this is piss-poor engineering.
Especially since this is a 'grandma pc', most likely coupled with a small monitor. I wouldn't be surprised if Grandma would want to set this thing to 800x600 on a 17" monitor just so she could see the letters.
They need to store all the props and sets too. Another good idea would be to freeze the actors in liquid nitrogen, maybe one day we could revive them for a second take.
Cellulose is also a name for the fibers found in wood. Film stocks were originally made from cellulose nitrate and then cellulose acetate (much safer).

It also skews the business towards maintaining huge copyrights vs finding new material to publish. There is a reason it is called 'The Establishment'
Not to mention that all of the attackers had real drivers licenses and were in the USA with legitimate visas.
Here is the rest of the quote for those who care:

Remember folks the majority of wasted energy in a ICE is from Valvetrain loss and from compression of air.
Yes, generating 'waste' HEAT.
I am talking about multiplexing... I just believe there is more headroom to be had in the future with fiber vs copper.

With an upgrade of the end components you could easily get several orders of magnitude higher bandwidth over the existing fiber.
Those are all pentodes which are more complicated internally.

How many people are using 7 YO versions of anything?

Well it would seem to be a good idea to use the machine to help people verify their votes, and once satisfied submit them to be count by hand.

How about they just shitcan everything and spare us another needless re-release?
Nice sentiment but I generally prefer listening to things on a basis of how they sound, not where they were created.
A more powerful crossbow requires a winch to cock. A real crossbow would have gone completely through that piece of wood.
Polio and dysentery were also a part of human history forever. Maybe we should also give up on curing diseases?
how often do you load a new grafics driver?
I am amazed at how many software packages still require a reboot. IMHO this is much more annoying.
