No, they like fashionable characters more than graphics and plot. So they care more about wether the characters have color coordinated outfits than the actual plot of the game.
There is no advantage, in fact according to the DVD documentary they only used an ipod because they couldn't get a network link to Jackson's house from the studio. (too far away or something)
There is some preliminary gapless support in the Karma for mp3. It does work on some files I have tried, others I get small clicks. This is not crossfading, my crossfading is turned off.
The rio developers were looking into implementing the Foobar2000 method which CAN play mp3 perfectly gapless by examing the Lame headers to determine the silence length. They posted about it on riovolution forums which are down at the moment.
Here is a nice page comparing to ipod which, judging from using itunes for a bit, has anti-gapless playback.

Currently I am encoding the songs which don't quite work gapless as oggs (which play back gaplessly perfectly) and everything else as mp3. Works well for me.
Gapless playback. The codec is designed to be gapless. AAC is not gapless, that sucks.
USB can only supply 250 mA.
500 mA actually. The mini ipod can charge from USB port supposedly.
Pretty much all the HD players EXCEPT the ipod have 15 hour battery life. I don't understand why the ipod is so crappy in this regards, trying to cut corners by using a cheaper battery? The karma has gapless playback for ogg, FLAC, and wma, they are currently working on it for mp3 (it suposedly works if you encode with nogap option in lame, haven't tried).
After downloading itunes I was SHOCKED that there was no gapless playback. Pretty much killed any interest I had for the ipod.
Go play CS, there is nothing even remotely realistic when someone is owning the map with an AWP. Let me explain one of the basic strategies, JUMP around a corner, zoom, fire, kill, jump back. That process takes all of about 2 seconds. That is what the author is ranting about, that is why I personally stopped playing CS. Please explain to me how any of that relates to realism?
The other real big problem with CS is most of the maps all revolve around 2 narrow paths, so it becomes almost impossible to take out a sniper unless you are also a sniper, no sneaking up behind them.
Considering that disney was #1 in film gross last year, Eisner must have been doing something right. their animation division is kind of bombing but the live action film divisions are making crap loads of money.
Unfortunately with the year that Disney has had (#1 grossing studio) there is NO WAY you are going to convince the board that they are doing anything wrong.
I have read that the issued lubricant is wrong for the environment (attracts sand). Many soldiers are buying MILITEC lubricant which works much better. Here is a link to some personal accounts:
We have a 2 year old Plasma here at work, was great until the dumbass head of IT left a windows error message on it for a few days. There is now a huge ghostly windows error message on it.
Monthly and lifetime fees are $12.95 and $299 for both. Automatic commercial skip is no longer offered on currently available Replays. the rest is true. But the TiVo is still better.:)
You don't need any inputs, just save the ATSC stream from the air directly to the HD. That is how the current crop of ATSC PCI cards work.
I currently have a MyHD card, it works well, but I would love to get a TiVo with the same functionality because the interface is clunky on the MyHD compared to TiVo.
There are two ogg supporters, Rio also supports it in the Karma.
I think a very good reason that they have not added support is that it would most likely kill their already weak battery life. The Rio Karma for instance can get 15 hours with mp3 but only about 9 or 10 with ogg. So getting only 2/3 the life on an ipod (5-6 hours) would really start to hurt.
They really should add wma support though, but I guess they really want to lock people into itunes.
Well, when you have people submitting stories with "Seems that NASA has actually lost the edge in robotic space exploration" in the body there is bound to be some backlash. not to mention the general EU-US antagonism on this site, which is pretty sad since it is supposed to be about technology, not politics.
I am certainly disappointed in any probe which fails. The more data the better.
Slow down cowboy is a pretty common American saying.
And the irony is that many of the Japanese cars are built in the US (Toyota Camry Solara is almost completely American from design to parts). Even some German cars are made in the US (BMW X5 and Z4). Meanwhile many American cars are built in Mexico or Canada.
Do you really want to aggravate that axe murderer by taking away his smokes?

the 155 Mb network is NaukaNet which is currently operational. GLORIAD is 10Gb. They don't acutally start talking about GLORIAD until halfway into the presentation, the begining is all current infrastructure details.
Here is the very basic details on GLORIAD from the presentation:
10 Gbps Lambda ring across Russia, China, US (and the oceans between) (likely access point in Amsterdam also)
There is a lot of interesting stuff in that powerpoint presentation, the google cache makes it nearly unreadable though, I would suggest you try to view in powerpoint or openoffice.

Has anyone developed a low cost decoder for WMV HD? The 720p content requires a P4 2.4 to work smoothly. That is a bit much for a DVD player.

Mplayer distributes MS's DLLs also (and Apple's and lots of other companies). Maybe MS should smack mplayer?

There are a number of socially responsible mutual funds out there.

This is interesting, you have a link?
Do they allow other political parties though? Still a far cry from european style socialism.
