Bliz who routinely pisses off their fan base with lengthy downloads, server outages, changes to items and abilities and the new horrible idea of merging their WoW accounts into the battlenet system. To be perfectly honest, I am speaking as a person who was kicked from the server at 11:18pm 11-19-09 while doing the AB BG, and when attempted to log on, was informed my password no longer works. Checked my email and see a note saying here is notification your password has been changed, and instead of having a link to go to if you did not authorize the change, it tells you to contact billing if you have a problem. tl;dr: blizzard sucks cocks

I went to the casino one time with my dad and sister while visiting family in Ky. I took a $100 dollars into the casino and me, my sister and dad started shooting craps. I left the craps table and started playing $50.00 dollar a hand min bet blackjack for several hours, then dropped down to $25 then to $10. I went home a grand sum winner of $4.00, I had $104.00. My wife, needless to say was quite upset. I probably dropped a couple of grand at least of the casinos money back to the casino, but I had a good time. Ain't been back since then either. Only way to get rich gambling is sitting behind the box cutting pots or running the game.

I understand the odds of lotteries, but still buy a lottery ticket every time the thing gets above 100 million dollars. Do I think I am going to win, maybe if I played for the next 50 thousand years or so, but realistically I do not expect to win. But when I examine the dollar I spend, versus what I could do with it, versus the minute possibility that I might actually win 100 million dollars, I find it to be an acceptable investment. But I understand the game, as RAH said, "Of course the game is rigged, but you can't win if you don't play."

They were very brutal and effective because at the slightest rebellion or resistance, they started killing large numbers of civilians. They also made it clear that if you fought, your family died. Makes it hard to get a fighting force to rise up. The vaunted French Resistance engaged in the same behavior many times, threatening people families in order to get people to fight against the nazis. Most sane people will not charge a machine gun, no matter what the numerical odds are. It only takes one bullet to kill you. For another example, prisons usually operate on a 30 to 1 ration of inmates to guards. The guards outside the perimeter fence could not shoot all the inmates if they hit the fence at the same time. The guards inside can not control the prisoners if they riot. But neither of these things happen very often. It really has to be bad before normal folks, even criminals, put their life on the line.

I went through a spell with no insurance and ended up at the emergency room with a serious cut. When they asked me my name, I gave my true one, loss of blood will cause bad thinking at times, yet gave them a bogus SS number and address. Figured the MD did not need to know my address or SS number while he was stitching me up. The nice lady at the payment office was surprised when I paid the bill on the spot in cash. I do not give out my SS number except when I absolutely have to. In fact there is a federal law that prevents places from using your SS number as an identifier(in the medical/health care field) with the new HIPPA thnigee they passed.
