  1. Until something useful can be made out of the many theoretical "things" proposed these days, likely to get grant money, I'll watch as more people begin to view science as either magic or just plain bullshit. We need to return to scientific rigor, not wild speculations.

  8. I'll believe it when AV-Test.org and AV-Comparitives.org show that Defender actually blocks viruses as well as the top performers do. Currently, it's at the bottom of the barrel for effectiveness, well behaved, or not.

  9. This is the new Windows RT. No one asked for it. Few will want it. Microsoft comes up with another loser offset to Chromebooks. Schools by me will stick with Chromebook as Windows left a bad taste, due to the time and effort it takes to manage it. Chromebooks are very easy to manage.

Android devices with full sized SD slots, certainly aren't phones. This app update by Netflix is useless to anyone with a smartphone and a micro SD slot, if they actually limit you to only using a full size SD card. That just doesn't make sense, unless they really don't want to encourage offline mobile viewing.

  13. I appreciate your cynicism. Many people don't consider the negative effects of consolidating countries into a larger entity. The countries lose control. Look at how many "Syrian migrants" have been pushed into the EU, where there is no work available, leading to ghettos and crime. The EU seems to have put the most extreme laws of it's various countries into widespread effect, instead of asking its citizens what they want. The EU is less of a democracy then it used to be.

  14. Phones with replaceable batteries are the only ones that I have ever wanted. Glued in batteries have always seems nuts to me. Just a waste of money. I've never had a battery explode on me. I only use the OEM ones. They're cheap enough at $20 or so, vs $100 to replace a glued in one.

  15. A class action lawsuit is needed to get AT&T to pay up. No one individual is going to sue for a couple hundred bucks. Go get 'em lawyers.
