  2. Yep. I got a $60 android phone (unlocked) a year ago and I probably drop the thing daily. The cheap plastic bezels have bent a few times, but it's easy enough to bend it back into shape. The worst damage it's suffered is a small scratch to the screen (from one of the many times I put it in my pocket with my keys, no doubt).

    And if I bust it, a replacement is only another $60. :P

  4. Presumably they can use one of the many cameras on the device to record the criminals and report them to law enforcement. In this sense, they're less vulnerable than any human-driven truck without a camera.

    It's easy to mug me when I'm walking down the sidewalk, but most people don't do it.

    Exactly. Unfortunately, a lot of people training AI don't think about this stuff, and end up with shitty AI that simply reflects pre-existing biases.
