The Pixel chromebooks are gorgeous machines. If they sold one with a supported linux distro (Ubuntu or Fedora, I don't really care), it would be my next laptop.
Then how about he commutes the sentence of Chelsea Manning - someone who went before a military court instead of running, who's already served more time than any other whistleblower in our nation's history?
The problem here is that some organizations have a security policy where hard drives are not allowed to leave the property. That means they can't purchase these laptops since the SSD is soldered to the board.
Except, you know, not having to read a bunch of manuals learning how to install Linux on it, the custom hardware and aesthetic, and also it's y'know, legal.
Both my grandmothers used to play a lot of NES. I could see either of them buying this to replay some of their favorite games - I can't fathom them trying to set up a Pi.

Y'all always talk about needles in the parks, but I've yet to see even a single one in three years of living here. I did once see one in a back alley, though.

If you think it's primarily homeless men that are verbally aggressive and sexual to women in the streets, perhaps you haven't ever walked by a bar? I've only been harassed by white guys dressed like they just got off of work.

Then pay your generous (LOL!) 10% tax voluntarily. Nobody is stopping you from doing it except you. Put YOUR money where YOUR mouth is, and shut up about taxing other people who probably need every penny they can get just to keep from being homeless..

If you believe in liberty and freedom and are against the use of violence to achieve political goals then you should move to New Hampshire to take part in the Free State Project and other liberty oriented organizations that have sprung up.

You can get the version without the touch strip, if you're scared of it. Saves you some money, too.
Somehow, I doubt that they were disassembling all their old MacBooks to remove the SSD before going home every night.
