I had a 1.6 P4 overclocked to 2.0 and it was running great for quite awhile until I tried to bzip2 a few very large files. It took me awhile to figure out that overclocking is what caused the problem. As soon as I put it back to 1.6; I had no more problems. I also had problems building gcc 3.something this way as well. So if you overclock, and are having some interesting problems with compiling or doing any CPU intensive work, try turning down our CPU before blaming the software or your memory.
Naming conventions are great, just keep the same throughout a project and you can use whatever you want to. I refuse to look at any code with variables named after your cats.
iAge tells you how that age is represented. If I saw a variable called 'age' I wouldn't have a clue what the type was. It could be string for all I know. Not everything is as obvious to everyone else as it is to you. You should code so that you and a person who just picked up the code off the street (and knows how to code that language) are both able to understand it without difficulty. Easier said than done.
Sounds a lot like the old games I had on floppy disks. The only way to play some of them, (since they used a different OS) was to boot off of the disk they were on.
Maybe more of an indentured servant than a slave. A slave would be the property of his or her owner. So while they may have been forced labour, they probably weren't owned by anyone.
I've found, at least with my Congressman and Senators here in Indiana, that I have almost always received a written response to e-mail within about 4 weeks or less of sending it.
If you weren't smart enough to figure it out yourself, they usually something like BFE : jkq in the lower left which tells you who wrote the letter for who. With my congressman, I have actually received letters either composed by him, or by someone with the same initials.
I hate people that don't know the different between iMax and IMAX, since only one exists.
Apart from that, my girlfriend just had me take her to Beauty and the Beast at our local IMAX theatre, and I must say that while that certainly wasn't made for IMAX, they did a great job with it. (Actually they brought in many of the original artists to redo a lot of it so that it would look right on IMAX.) I believe they also doubled the amount of pixels or something along those lines. Anyway, you still had the same experience you get with movies filmed specifically for IMAX, to a slightly lesser extent, but it still did add to it.
If I submit an editorial to the local newspaper, they will correct spelling errors and other gramatical errors before publishing it. They also never mark them with [sic] or otherwise in such cases. Usually you see the [sic] when George Bush invents a new word and they don't know what to do about it.
I believe you need permission to launch any satellite into orbit, and launching a large rocket into space without first letting everyone know what you are doing might not be a real good idea.
I recall looking awhile ago, and I remember that to be a field agent you have to have better than 20/200 vision before correction. I bet this would disqualify most of us too.
I think 2x2ghz processors would be cheaper and probably more effective than 1 4 Ghz processor. Much cheaper to get 2x2 than 1x4 with they way they've done it at least =]
Comparing something like this in the US to Japan and Korea doesn't make any sense at all. They have much less space to deal with, and a far smaller rural population. The US is full of big empty spaces and would better compared to Russia or China as far as how many people are connected. It's a lot easier to connect large numbers of people when they live in a small area as opposed to a huge mass of land where they are spread all over.

It is almost sad that this was modded "informative". Everyone should have already known that!

The Middle-East is not a continent. Africa is a continent. Egypt is on the African continent.
They could find it, but they wouldn't know it is in Africa.

If they drank considerably more beer on a regular basis, they could tolerate a much higher level of alcohol in their blood.
Oh, except Richard Lugar. He has not once written me back. Grrr

I think in geography it's referred to as independent parallel invention. This would be a more appropriate term in this case.

So, if Doom 3 will run smoothly on this card, how will it run on my lowly Geforce 2?
What about FIV? Is it related to HIV or SIV at all? I've noticed quite a few commercials on it on TV. (It's the feline version of it I guess.)

You guys pay a lot more taxes than we do too, so maybe that is part of it? =]
Hmm, maybe it is, I could almost swear it wasn't on my original XP Pro install, but I'll check anyway.

Installed, but not enabled.
You can get the source code to WinCE, but what can you do with it once you have it?
