  1. Door County Wisconsin, USA on How GPS Is Killing Lighthouses · · Score: 1

We were vacationing up there last year (we live in St Louis, MO, USA). We always do a light house tour. That year we were also informed all the houses were being closed to the public and sold. Most were being sold to private developers but some made it into the hands of Lighthouse fans/organizations. My girls, aged 7 and 9, loved the tales told by the folks who lived and operated them. We really enjoyed the tours. Luckily I have a few photos of us near and in them from the years we were up there. I guess I will keep them next to the ones of me by the World Trade Center.

I have asked for lawns to be cut, fences to be power washed, dog poop to be scooped and other NON-degree type requests. I say non-degree cause I didn't want to help someone who was, say a Doctor, who could help me in ways another who was a lawn care specialist couldn't. Since I have gone to that and NOT money and NOT food requests have dropped to almost 0. The biggest user of my support services is my sister. She will babysit sometime for me after I work on her PC. She gets her PC fixed. My kids get to spend time with thier aunt. I don't have to pay for a baby sitter. I get time with my spouse. We all win.

I even have a DVD player on my laptop that is used on flights and in hotels. I can't imagine streaming a copy to my TV then buying another copy for the van or PC.
