I see plenty of posts here about technology to use in the car, but none of them write about the chassis in which the motherboard resides! carcpu has some enclosuresfor sale. They're expensive though, but it has a anti-vibration chassis for your hard drive and it's protective for your motherboard.
I dont' know about you, but I'm holding out for the Defcon convention on August 6th I believe. It's in a better party town (Vegas). Oh yeah, and the Hard Rock hotel next door has plenty of cuties too. Hacking, partying, and cuties all in one place. Garrrr!!!!
Hopefully the new Xbox will write directly to MPEG-4 or divx. That will make it easy to network and sahre my cool video files on Kazaa Lite! I predict soon we will ahve peer-to-peer television wehre all television content is streamed. The new Xbox makes this possible.

Look guys, am I the only one who thinks that XP is a good oeprating system? It's pretty damn stable from my opinion and it's a very good GENERAL PURPOSE operating system. Note what I said: GENERAL PURPOSE. Meaning, you don't have to spend hours and hours configuring XF86Config, you don't have to go searching for drivers for less-mainstream hardware, and installing softare si relatively easy (as opposed to Linux). Remember guys, most people out there aren't Slashdot geeks. Most people out there (from my opinion) just want to browse the web, type a word processing document here and there, and answer their email. THIS DOES NOT MAKE PEOPLE MORONS, just typical users.
And before you go on calling me a moron, I'm using Linux to write this message. I prefer Linux for development because it's more flexible.

That's because you don't have the new ROM which is shipped on most TIVO motherboards nowadays. When that new ROM is in there, it will detect any changes to the linux OS and overwrite the changes with the code that is encoded in the ROM.
Who cares about the onboard ethernet controller? If all it's doing is downloading program listings from the internet instead of the phone line, I am not impressed. My current Tivo does this at night basically.
What would impress me if I could download all those juicey mpeg-2 vdieo files (or better yet, compress them to Divx) and share that stuff on Kazaa or WinMX. Unfortunately, Tivo won't play that game. Since the 2.5 software, my 9th tee Ethernet controller won't work.
When will Microsoft support Windows Media Player for Linux? Man, I use xine, and it plays all my stuff, but I hate the interface. Media Player (especially the XP version) has a GREAT interface that's easy to use?
That's what xine should work on. . . and no, the media player "skin" doesn't cut it for me.
The solution here is simple. Jsut take the site, post it to freenet: http://freenet.sourceforge.net. That's where you download teh client. That way, it is untraceable and they can't take it down.

Good point! Very eloquently put. Yeah, rascism is pretty much dead. I have a few friends though (Guamanian, Hispanic) who CLAIM that rascism still exists and they are harmed every week in some way or another. I just feel it is their low self esteem causing them to feel this way. Like many girls will blame their problems on the fact that they are "too fat" or many people think they are being made fun of that they are "too stupid" when in fact nothign can be further from the truth. My particular friends chose "because I'm brown" as the "reason" why things don't go their way. But whatever.
Interesting point though: now that we will be able ot alter our own genes within a few years, we can create a new "race" of superhumans that will be smarter, faster, stronger, and better looking than most people who visit this site. If that's the case, there will be a JUSTIFIED form of racism. It can be proven with genes! I feel so obsolete. ..

Actually, there are differences in sexual orientation, and physical characteristics even in identical twins. I read somewhere that if one identical twin is homosexual, then the other one is about 50% as likely to be homosexual as well - not 100%! So there *is* environment that plays a role. In addition, not all identical twins are born equal. Sometimes one particular baby has more of the "resources" (don't know of a better way to put it) of the mother's womb than the other twin. So the first twin is a LITTLE bit taller, a LITTLE bit smarter, etc.
Next time you see an identical twin, I implore you to ask them if they feel "equal" Most of the time, they will say no, siting one is just a LITTLE bit better. It is quite interesting.
Yeah, I took the SAT and got a 930 first time, 1150 second time (after I had studied). Yes, these scores are mediocre at best, but I *did* manage to get accepted to Georgetown (decent school), got a 3.3 GPA there and now I am making a decent living as a software developer. I would also like to say that i am one of the better developers in my company. So yeah, SATs aren't a very good indicator of intelligence or aptitude (in my case anyway).

Unforutantely, I was unable to use it in qmail because qmail doesn't support it natively. Ialso tried plugging in a module into qmail, but I had trouble doing it. So I resorted to using maildir. Maildir is faster if you have a few large files, but mbox is faster when you have a bunch of users with a bunch of small emails.
I don't know too much baout mail server though, but this is what I gather from other people

Why does Commander Taco constantly put down Microsoft? Ok, does Windows 2000 REALLY suck that bad? Granted, it is a bit overrated and I use Linux for development for most of the time, but c'mon guys, Windows has its place in the computing community. For one, it is easy to use, there's plenty of sfotware available for it, and it's plug and play pretty much with everything (unlike Linux which I had to spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to install Quake). I just don't want to install Linux for my dad and have to take time to explain him how to use it (the guy has trouble programming his VCR, ok?)
But yes, Linux is better for servers and it also makes a better development environment. But Commander Taco has trouble realizing that not EVERYONE is a developer. Most people jsut want to get on the 'net and type a word processing document or two.
I hate teachers. Most of them are (from my experience) pathetic losers who can't hack it in the real world, so they take some cushy job in a classroom where they only have to work 5 hours a day (and get summers off).
My problem with teachers is that they teach through hveing the student regurgitate reading material instead of having the student think for himself. They stress conformity over individuality. On top of everything else, they have a tendency to prey on a student's weakness if possible (at least to my expenerience).
Granted, these are very sweeping statements and not all teachers are like this. I'm just saying most of the teachers I dealt with in high school were either A) losers, or B) Know-it-alls who don't want to listen what the student has to say. I'm glad i went to college because I found out that REAL teachers existed.

Of course, this statement is very un-politically correct and the makers of the statement would be considered "rascists"
Ironically enough, I find more instances of rascism towards whites today than I do towards blacks. I don't know, rascists statements towards whites seem more tolerated than ones towards blacks (have you seen a WB sitcom lately?).
With lawsuits like this, it will be difficult for racial tolerance to improve
