My personal favorite thumb pad controller was for the Sega Master System. Joysticks would be a toss-up between the original Atari and the Epyx 500xj, but those broke rather easily.
KDE is overriding your GTK preferences. Look in the KDE control center under Look&Feel/Style and deselect Apply fonts and colors to non-KDE apps, and then get rid of ~/.gtkrc-kde.
1. Serve The Public Trust
2. Protect The Innocent
3. Uphold The Law
I like what you did with point #1 up there. It's a plausible and friendly opener. The rest of you list seems to have a few problems -- #2 seems to be missing a question mark or two and #3 definately does not say profit.
Could you fix those last few things up for me and submit a new post? Thanks!
Respect for upstream software (like, Debian doesn't call Apache "httpd", they call it "apache")
Hans Reiser would disagree with you, but then I'd disagree with him, so it would be even. Follow the thread, it's almost as much fun as de Raadt vs. Bernstein.
With this, merge the strength of Linux's "no license fee" with Novell's admin/directory tools. I want to have a server I can throw 5, 500, 50000 users on and not worry about licensing - and I just pay Novell for the user interface and tools.
Unfortunately, if licensing for NetWare 6 is any indication, that's not going to work:
Q. My customer has workstations in which more than one person shares across shifts. How many licenses will they need? A. Each person which accesses the software services must have a unique NDS user object created for them, and each of these objects need a licenses. So if three people share the same computer across shifts, each person must have a unique NDS user object, and three licenses are needed to cover them.
Q. Will a person who has two or more different user objects assigned to them need multiple licenses? A. Yes. A person who has multiple unique user IDs assigned to them will need a license for each different ID.
AFAICT, NetWare 6 (sans licenses) is essentially free. It's the user licenses that'll getcha.
Let me be the first to say that's an amazing piece of work.
Of course, I wouldn't be, if he was running FlightGear on a beowulf cluster. People would be falling all over themselves to congratulate him then. But there you are.
that SuperClock got rolled into system 7.1 or something, but Apple purchased the rights to it.
Two of the most important Mozilla/Firebird items from texturizer.net: Flash Click To View and Ad Blocking. The Ad Blocking stuff really works well.
Dude, computers are beyond the average computer user.
Forget Slashdot. They would get that message if they were reading the Microsoft Security Bulletins.
Come on, people, it's the same AP article on both sites? How did this get a +4 interesting?
Now all this service needs is god commandeering a satellite to beam the name of the game straight into your head.

Squiggleslash, this is SCO. SCO, Squiggleslash. I'll leave you two alone to talk for a bit. SCO here has an interesting story to tell you!
Not on any network I administer, you don't. What makes you think you'll have that opportunity with a Linux-based desktop?

You fucking anti-Jaguar people :)

You were just upset you plonked down the $699 for a 3DO
the tool you want is aptitude. It crashes occasionally, but it'll make you forget all about dselect :)

The only free client so far is the web client. There is "experimental" support for viewing your calendar with Mozilla Calendar. Check out the User FAQ

Look here, about halfway down the page for the line to add to your sources.list to install KDE 3.1.2 for Debian stable.
An outer space being, colonized by the Roman Empire?
I can hardly wait for Imperator Online: The Colon

Anyone who had read the article through to the SECOND SENTENCE would have the same thoughts.

They seem to have their whole distro available.
So windows is emacs, then? :)
Yep, no one uses fax machines anymore.
