You can program your tivo remotes to instantly skip ahead 30 seconds. So when commercials come on, clicking it 4 to 5 times instantly gets you past the commercials and back to the show. No having to sit through sped up commercials. Hopefully they dont mess with that also.
Then can install it, and that is about it. It has to authenticate to steam. Since steam has not unlocked HL2, no one can play it. It will sit in the "Coming soon" section of steam just like everyone else.
The advantage of buying it on a gamecube vs. a PS2 is that the load times will be significantly less on the gamecube. Compare any game on both PS2 and gamecube and the gamecube will win out, except when your comparing controllers of course.
I have read in a few hardware reviews from various sites that they couldnt test some things because they had to send the cards back to the companies by a certain date and just didnt have time to do it. Im not sure if that always happens at all the review sites, but I do remember seeing that at a couple places.
A pretty good color laser printer is the Minolta 2300. Right now, there is a 100.00 rebate from Minolta if you buy one for no less than 495.00 for the 2300W and 595.00 for the 2300DL(networking). BUT, it only lasts until October 9 (tomorrow).
here is the rebate form. http://printer.konicaminolta.net/rebate/index.asp
and here is a link to a site with the price at the lowest you can buy it to get the rebate
For me, it is not because it 'looks' more realistic. Games with 'realistic physics' as of now are much more immersive. Arcade games are fun to play but I tend to only play them for very short periods of time. Things like realistic damage make the game as you say look realistic, but it brings much more satisfaction in gameplay for me. The newer games coming out like HL2 with 'true' physics just brings gameplay to a new level. Take for example FPS's, all of them are basically the same in that as a whole they are pretty linear on things you are able to do. Look at the HL2 video that came out, using the environment adds so much more to gameplay.
There was more than one goal. It would have been nice to find existance of life, but this is a stepping stone for bigger things. Sending robots to mars and successfully landing them gets you good information for future missions. Especially if you want humans to get there. I would rather have some robots be the first to try landings on a different planet.
That is why you run MYIE2 (www.myie2.com). It is a shell for IE that has tabbed browsing, mouse gestures, and a popup blocker. I have around 40 pages open on my crappy work computer (800 mhz, 512 mb ram) and it has no problems.
but the one problem with this is that Battlefield mods gain popularity, then EA makes the same 'mod' and then sells it. They first saw the popularity of mods with more weapons and vehicles, so they came out with Secret Weapons. EOD was a pretty popular mod, then came BFV. Now they are coming out with Modern Combat for a clone of Desert Combat. I also heard they are coming out with a starwars clone. Yes it makes them money, but they totally screw over the modding community. I refreshed the EOD servers the other week and there were just a handfull of servers available with people playing. If no one is playing the 'free mods' why would the modders even bother continuing with development.
You also get more for your money. You may not like all the mod's, but at least there are more variations to choose from. So if the game does get 'old and boring' you can try something new.
A guy in my cube is playing it in windowed mode. He has some other things open, and it kinda blends in. Someone walking by wouldnt know he was playing video games.
If you have your laptop with you, why dont you just get a GPS reciever for your laptop. There are even bluetooth (teletype, navman, pharos) gps recievers for laptops if you dont like cords all over your car. You will get a much more accurate position. Im willing to bet the GPS in the phones dont update as often either. They are only just over 100.00 US.
a revamp would be very nice. The only problem is how they are going to handle it on a console. There were many times where you split up your 4 guys to do various things. It required a lot of fast mouse scrolling around to make sure everyone was ok or to to work together on accomplishing something. It would be fine if they squad just stayed together, but thats no fun.
I think it would really help them out if they released these 2 games for free to get newer gamers into these games.
Most people dont buy a PDA for its gaming capabilities. They play games to pass time. I wouldnt think even the most hardcore gamer would go out and buy a 500 dollar PDA for only purpose of playing games on it. My suggestion is to make games for the highest selling platform. The more people who have the oportunity to get the games the better.
Your fine with installing HL2 which takes up several GB's on your HD, but you have a problem with installing a 600 Kb program?

I think the introduction to realistic physics is a huge leap forward in gameplay.
Id rather drive to the store, stand in line, and drive back home instead of sitting through a bunch of flash ad's on their site.

There is already a game that does exactly this. Second Life

not to mention that they will most likely add these games to their player. Thus adding even MORE crap to that thing that no one wants.
