Does anyone have any guides on how to get this mod running on a linux dedicated server? I have a bog standard UT2004 server running but I've never installed a mod before.
I'm guessing that people would rather the money spent on a show they didn't like was being spent on something they did like. A good Star Trek show for instance.
It's quite an interesting tactic. Instead of trying to compete head to head with Sony (A possibly dangerous tactic) they've instead created something very different from Sony which hopefully gives them a system that people want *as well as* a PSP.
I hope it works for them. I'll probably end up buying both.
I'm not saying that I'm not looking forward to it. I am. I'm guessing it will be a very good game but I've read a number of previews of HL2 over the last month and they all say exactly the same things and don't really tell us anything we didn't know last year before the code leak.
I guess I'd be more excited if they told us something we haven't heard before or was a little unexpected.
The first 2 books as done by BBC radio were funny, very well acted and very well put together. Much , much better than just listening to someone read the book (And the radio shows are different anyway)
I have a question. Is the service really only open from 11am til 3am pacific time as it says on the HELP page?
What MMORPG only runs part of the day and basically tells non-USians to go play another game? I work and can't really afford to stay up into the wee early hours just to be able to play a game that admittedly looks perfect for me.
They even have a banner saying "Talk to friends from all over the world".
I wasn't saying I've just read the Target novels. I have a full set of Virgin novels (Read them all) and an almost complete set of the BBC novels that came afterwards.
I also have all the Telos novelas and I'm about to order the Faction Paradox spinoffs (Although they aren't strictly speaking Who anymore)
I've read virtually all of them. The Target novels are very short and if you start young enough (I've been reading Doctor Who books for over 20 years) you can easily get through them all.
They're not moving to a services-based model at all.
You still have to pay for the actual products like edirectory, groupwise, zenworks etc it's just that the plan is to have everything run under Linux instead of the old Netware OS. (Which some of the software does already)
Execshield broke Softimage XSI on our systems at work. We have to turn it off to run.
The RRP in the UK is £44.99. After discounts UK stores will probably be selling it at about the same price as most other PC games start at.
Online prices are cheaper but not to the same extent as other games. I payed £17.99 for UT2004 and I have a pre-order in for Stalker at £17.99
I bet they'll take another look at it after this ruling.
So basically they break the law themselves daily while having no authority to do so?
It's not a new bug. It's been doing it occasionally in Mozilla for ages. As a previous poster said clicking reload generally fixes it.
Didn't Nintendo say the DS would only be backwards compatible with GBA titles and not the older stuff?

You could put a virtual keyboard on the second screen and play text adventures!

Does anyone really care anymore? It's not like these previews are telling us anything new of substance.
Business today seems to be all about locking in your customers so even if you piss them off they can't go anywhere else.
:)
Google lock in their users by providing a good service. Bunch of hippies

Except when they ignore a very serious security vunerability for months until someone gets sick and releases an exploit.
SCO will put IBM's Unix licence on "Double Secret Probabtion"

Judge Judy should hear the case. Her quick no-nonsense approach will fast-track this mess to a sensible conclusion.
:)
And she'll get really pissed when SCO lie to her
The RIAA doesn't have to address those concerns. As long as it can buy politicians it can continue saying anything it likes.
Maybe they're stealing IBM's rum too? :)
Someone buy that judge a hooker. He's earned it. :)
Inovation is easy when you have the cash to just buy it from someone else and stick your logo on it.
