I've been telecommuting the past few years so I don't get to bike to work.:( BUT I can bug out during the day and do laps around my neighborhood on my roadie, so that helps.:)
The one time I was regularly biking to work was a several-month stretch in Portland, after moving there with a net startup which croaked some months later.:(
I was fortunate in that way - the ride was only about 25 blocks, a good portion of which a) had a bike lane, and b) was slightly downhill going in. So the ride to work was not strenuous, hence I didn't even have a chance to get sweaty at all. And the ride home was uphill, and I would often push it riding home, to get that little workout.
Looks freaking AWESOME. And Jackie Earle Haley is creepy looking enough to physically portray a great Rorschach (sp?)...

Well, people WERE trying to kill that lawyer. It's just that other people were trying to prevent it.
Why were people trying to prevent it? Same reason the folks on the two ferries didn't push those buttons - because they are human and not animals.
As far as after, why folks forgot about the guy - you're overanalyzing. It's a movie.:D And as far as "sacrificing thousands of patients" - they evacuated the hospital that got greased.
Here, here's another $10 - go see the movie again. Oh and here's another $5 - buy some No-Doz and take a few beforehand, so you don't sleep through half the film this time.:P
One thing I noticed, and liked, was the fairly obvious nod to the old comics when it came to how they handled Two-Face's disfigurement.
The bit with the back side of the mouth, looking like he's going "grrrr!", and the eyeball floating in the socket - that look is pretty much lifted straight from some of the old Batman comics, as far as how Two-Face looked.
It kinda sent a chill up my back - when he first turns his head, I had a flashback to my youth when I was big into comics, remembering how Two-Face was illustrated back then.
Now, technically, I suppose you could consider a router a 'computer'.
But then - you could consider cell phones (and even many of your basic cordless models) computers as well, if you apply the same basic criteria.
So then - does that mean if I call someone on their cell phone, and they didn't grant me express permission before the call to do so - am I then "accessing their computer" illegally?
I'm in Atlanta (EST). I just threw up a couple of World Clocks (hadn't bothered with that prior to this), one for Denver, one for Honolulu. Both display the dates as "08/01/01" (nevermind it's still 12/31/07 in both time zones).
That was a reporter for Wired magazine Joshua Quittner, who, back in the early days of the net (1994), noticed that McDonalds had not registered McDonalds.com. So he himself registered it, contacted the company, and documented the whole thing, prior to giving the domain to McDonalds.
Same here. Took a very short time to do the activation, and I had zero troubles. My old Sprint phone quit working just a few minutes after I finished the iPhone activation. I was able to make calls from the iPhone pretty much immediately. (Now, getting a decent signal from inside my townhouse... heh.)
I bought my phone the same time as two friends. One had trouble - he was moving from T-Mobile. He had trouble simply getting his iPhone activated - it took a few hours before he was able to use it. Another day before he was getting incoming calls (his incoming calls were still hitting his T-Mobile phone). My other friend, who was already an AT&T customer, activated and started using his phone pretty much without issue. Fun thing was, he's a Georgia resident and was visiting me in Colorado at the time. Being outside his normal calling area when activating was a complete non-issue.
Only major issue I've personally heard of was from this one fellow who was in line Friday right behind me - literally, the next guy down. I bumped into him and his g/f at the Apple store this afternoon, while my friend and I were in checking out phone cases/etc. He'd bought two units - one for each of them - and the g/f's unit was having touchscreen issues, so they were back at the store to sort that out. The fellow himself, however, had had having some major activation issues and I think had largely worked things out by that time.
Aside from the whole "can't do a 'delete all' emails" thing that I'm sure everyone and their brother has mentioned, I've had zero problems with my new toy. I love it so far.
"Did more people actually watch Voyager and DS9 than BSG?"
I figure, yes - because they were both shown on normal broadcast networks, as opposed to a cable/satellite-only channel.
Plus there's that whole "they're not as good as BSG but, sci-fi-wise, they were about the best thing on TV when they were on" thing.:P
The nature of BSG's story is that they couldn't keep running forever - as sad as I am that (assuming the actors quoted are correct) the fourth season will be the last, it kinda makes sense.
Hell, ten years ago when I worked at CNN, I pondered learning how to make Quake maps so I could create a map of the CNN center, complete with extensive catacombs (that existed!), the two office towers, etc. There was even going to be Ted Turner and Jane Fonda boss-mobs.:P
Went to pick up GoW 2 and the kid at the counter was like "you REALLY ought to get GoW and play it first". I figured, another $20, no prob.
So I had the opportunity to play them fresh, back to back.
Now - is it just me or was the end boss fight in GoW 2 *easier* than in GoW? I struggled for dunno how long on the first one - but the second one, I nailed in a fraction of deaths.
Still - gorgeous games. Now I can't wait for GoW 3.:(
You can take bottles of water on planes. I did it just last week.
The trick is you can't take them through the security checkpoint.
Just pick up a bottle of water in the terminal. Yes, it's more expensive, like everything in the airport.
I got this one years ago and it burned itself into my brain, it was so bizarre...
"Sweet young p***y, stuffed with pony"
STUFFED? With PONY? I mean, that implies a third-party being involved, to do the aforementioned stuffing. I mean, no one really self-stuffs, right?

...and issue a "Spamber Alert"!
Also plaster his face on the sides of milk cartons and Viagra packaging.

...the scene where Carell's character gets all bent about NOT OPENING THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING!
So if they open up an old box of Legos, does that make it less valuable in a court case? :D
Beat me to it.

Food for thought. *munch*
My 82 yr old dad suffers from dementia and Alzheimer's, and I can't recall him being a coffee drinker.
(sips on my morning cuppa whilst typing this)
...he simply died so he could then be on time to roll over in his grave when D&D 4.0 is released. :/

Not true on the MickeyD's domain.

...if some guy finds all the corporate easter eggs, he gets to be CEO? :P
"So far there has been no comment on how a Linux user group is going to help sorority girls with their Windows machines."
These guys will just lower their standards and deal with the Windows stuff.
Just like the sorority girls will be lowering their standards by going out on dates with these guys.
It's a win-win!
"Popular" is not another word for "Train wreck". :D
After all, he lives in Florida, not New York (even a fictional New York), correct? :D

Seriously, with the radiation there... it just... might... work!
...who gets to be the Jack Abramoff of EVE? :P

First line in article: "We are *considering* taking legal action against the website," said Vissanu Meeyo, a spokesman for the information ministry."
Teeensy bit of difference, there.
