hmmmm, perhaps I'm misunderstanding, but I update my folders often, drag a parent (with lots of already catalogged tunes) to iTunes and it adds the new ones only. Check to see if you have 'move to iTunes folder' checked (I'm at work with my linux box, so can't look at the app to see what it really says)
from the link: Use the new lossless encoder to import music from CDs and achieve sound quality indistinguishable from the original, at about half the original file size. Plays in iTunes and on iPod. Yum.
Actually, this means more capacity was purchsed by the Airbus buyers: Airbus: 550 passengers * 150 = 82500 seats Boeing: 259 passengers * 230 = 59520 seats It could be argued that there are fewer routes that need a 550 seat plane, but airspace is getting crowded...
While I truly understand your point, you've got it wrong. The only way we can change this world is by breeding and educating moral, thoughtful and intelligent kids. Responsible breeding should, IMHO, be limited to 2 (replacing youself and your mate). With any more than 4 being extremely irresponsible in terms of world resources, especially at the rate we US-ers use shit up. You can't abdicate the future.
There's a comment on this blog that suggests that there are more than one, I'm guessing the one you cite isn't the one in Nevada). Portland Communique also mentions that they're seeing something similar in Portland.
My brain kicked back into gear, I think it was MacBugs, it used icons from the os. very fast paced for its day. Those of you who can't equate the Mac with games, keep in mind this was before most PC clones had a mouse.
Shufflepuck was awesome. Spent many many hours... I used to play another game, that was equally awesome but I don't remember the name. I do remember the instructions "Shoot everything, don't get hit" any help?
One great big, festering neon distraction

If you forget about the cardinal directions, it kinda-sorta looks like Portland as viewed from Vancouver, WA (the water at the bottom would be the Columbia). But I don't think it's Portland in the show (tho the opening credits view does look suspiciously like it was drawn from the rose gardens in Washington Park...) since it's not overcast and/or raining all the damn time.
We have many technically clueless clients. We provide DNS and domain regirstration for them at a slight markup and small monthly expense. They think they're getting a huge bargain and it takes us almost no time and resources. Our colo provider and office ISP (different companies) both provide secondary for free, so we have servers on different nets. A win for everybody.
First, Oregon is not an extremely liberal state. Portland is a liberal city, but most of the state leans more toward conservative/libertarian-ism. Second, IIRC, most of the forests are/were National Forests, so even a more environmental state govt. would have been helpless. While I agree that there are many who cry wolf, there are companies (logging and otherwise) which will put profit over law as long as they can get away with it. Wood can be a renewable resource, but the lumbar industry seems more interersted in short-term profits over long term forest care. I could go on with lots of arguments, but debating environmentalism with an anonymous coward doesn't seem terribly productive.
Robotron rocked. I remember some furor over it being too violent(!). Insanely addictive and very, very hard.

Thanks for bursting my bubble. I guess I should pay more attention to an app that I use every day...

Yum.
I've heard of this Alutian guy who took over a nuclear submarine with a piece of glass...
Obviously you're not married, as cleaning the house with bleach (or just cleaning anything...) will definately be a turn on to one's spouse.

didn't have time to get the link but from the FAQ:
Q. I heard that Darwin runs on Intel processor-based PCs. Is that true?
A. Yes, and we're partnering with the Darwin developer community to enhance support for this platform.
Um, we don't vote for the mafia.
Not that our democracy is anywhere near perfect.

Um, cmd+c, cmd+v works perfectly in the finder. I just moved a file a second ago.

Caps lock is one of the MOST important keys on the board. How else can I run all the time in my FPS?

How appropriate.

That's the Vas-O-Cam, some 2X4s and a 'C' bracket (and some vaseline)

In Leucadia, mine belted out 'Democrat' with the same sort of distaste. Maybe the workers were all Libertarians?
