LaunchBar for Mac OSX comes pretty close to this, you just have to hit then type some part of the name and there it is. I can no longer work well without it. If anyone knows of a similar thing for Windows, let me know and I'll install it on my 'other' machine.
If you jacked up the speed of your tank, you could outrun pretty much anything and get enough spare tanks to never lose. I once playd a single game for 6 or 7 hours. I wouldn't even pause the game to piss or refill the coffee cup (or pipe...). Still a lot of fun, tho.

You can't really ln -s from the GUI. An Alias is something a little different, it will follow the original file if the original file is moved or renamed. If you spend your time in the command line, just use ln -s, the GUI will see them just fine. Hiding files via the.hidden file only effects the GUI (I don't use it). Here's how I approach it: The GUI is for mac things. the command line (and XDarwin/oroborosx) is for unix things. Seldom have I run into the problem of not having access to . files from the GUI, usually I already have a term open.

Back in the old days, they were US West, which, if you were unlucky enough to be in their local service footprint, we called US Worst-usually due to their horrendous service. I guess it holds over still (their rep and the name). Hope this bit of irrellevant history clears up this extremely important dicussion.
This IS the great thing about X11. Which is why I have XDarwin on my OSX box. I can yast2 my SuSE, install Oracle on Solaris, admin Veritas... I've stopped using VNC, except to access Windows machines (pre 2K server, for that there's MS Remote Desktop Connection)
>people are now able to make perfect, digital copies Actually, no. They're compressed and often have artifacts(at least on my DirecTiVo-which records the pre-compressed feed from the satellite).
Right on. I only saw AoTC becauase I was out of town and had some time to kill. If I had needed to find a sitter to free me for a couple of hours, I would've seen something much better: my wife.

IIRC, oriental referred to anything east of Rome, while occidental referred to everything west of Rome.
You mean the one that looks like a magical pig with marital aids stuck all over it?

Indeed! but how many IBM pcs are out there? If this was IBM's core biz, they'd be in trouble.

Highlander suffered from producers ignoring the tag line "There Can Be Only One".
The first one was a visual masterpiece. The rest were tripe.

TMobile (formerly Voicestream) is the largest GSM carrier in the US. I think there are carriers in all the metro areas.

Peter Weller is NOT Robocop. Well, he is, but he's really Buckaroo Bonzai.
What about thumb wrestling? That's a sport.
