Which, I am not sure why this is a surprise. We live in a corporatist fascist state, with cherry picked elements of communism/socialism thrown in for just enough chaos.

Since 2007 this has become not only a political force but an economic one.

    YOU can't OWN _ANYTHING_.

You can't own a house, because if you dont or can't pay the $3K in taxes per year, they come and seize the $200K house, which is what they hope for anyway.

You can't own a car in some states if you don't have insurance otherwise they seize the $30K vehicle because you didn't pay the $1200 for last years insurance.

    Also planned.

You don't own anything you buy, because markets have to be controlled and rigged for a few set of players, including repairs on the products you sell. (Well, don't forget the special deals you get to work out too with you and your elite friends as you scheme behind closed doors rigging elects and laws so you can get away with this sort of nonsense....i.e. Bilderburg...Congress, EU unelected commissars).

  2. Basic Income on Universal Basic Income Programs Arrive (theguardian.com) · · Score: 1

    This won't work.

You introduce so many more problems with handing out money than it solves.

For example, once you fix the amount of money you hand out, WHO is going to decide at what levels or how much?

Then that opens up a whole new box of worms, since you are fixing incomes, what prices should products be priced at?

Who is going to play god in all of this?

You know, Einstein once said, The definition of insanity is continually doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

I am of course referring to Socialism and Communism, which failed spectacularly in the 1900's and 20th century, almost taking the world with it.

Now the 21st century people continually expect that getting something for free is the best way to solve peoples economic and social problems.and socialism and communism continue to be extremely cruel, and brutal methods of rules still practiced

    When will it stop?

Even Christ, the prince of peace realised this when Peter and Paul and the rest of their disciples had to pay Roman taxes of the amount of two gold coins, and they had no money. Christ instructed them to go fishing, or DO WORK, and look for two gold coins out of the mouth of a fish among the many and take them and go pay taxes.

Presumably they used the rest of the catch to feed themselves, the poor as well.

The moral of the story is, it is not a good idea for human beings to not do work. Everyone needs to get up and do SOMETHING daily and contribute according to their means.

Incredibly, lastly maybe we should be asking why is it that everyone puts up with the concentration of capital and potential in the hands of 1% or less of the population? When it is a proven fact these people have broken the laws to obtain this extraordinary amount of wealth by price rigging Gold, Silver, LIBOR...it goes on and on and ON!!!!

Why is it that we allow this to continue screwing up the fair market system and making a mockey of capitalism?

Why is it that we allow these people from the 2007 banking crisis destroy the opportunity of the young people to have a life outside of their parents basement?

Why is that these people stole this money in 2007 from the American people are still walking around ALIVE AND WELL and continue to make a mockery of our laws, our constitution???

Do you think you can have a healthy economic system with all of this continual fraud?

If we would simply enforce the laws and jail or execute these people for treason that were involved in the 2007 banking crisis we wouldn't have to hand out money to millions of people to do absolutely NOTHING with their lives.

PS: Even if you are OLD and can't work anymore, WE USE TO be able to save money in a bank and get a decent interest rate based on return to fund our later years. You can't even do that anymore because they criminally destroyed the currency markets and reduced the interest rates to zero by fixing the LIBOR interest rates to cover all of the losses the banks made on criminal activities.

LIKE LAUNDERING DRUG AND ISIS MONEY.

  12. Climate Change on How To Lead a Nation That's About To Be Swallowed By the Sea · · Score: 2

    First of all:

    1) Climate Change is a natural response to the Earth's ability to support life.To thwart the Earths ability to prevent or adapt either through increasing the surface area of the oceans as compared to land, or through geoengineering projects more than likely will destroy the biosphere.

Contrary to what these scientists will tell you, shining a heat lamp on a beaker filled with CO2, although a useful experiment, is not exactly the same as a 4 billion year old Biosphere, created through wholly unknown means and unknown processes.

So predicting a outcome through any purposeful change would be highly reckless and it is beyond our ability now, and more than likely a thousand years from now.

Yes, the earth really is that complicated I am afraid than that beaker of CO2.

So what can we do in the mean time?

    2) One thing we CAN do is divorce ourselves gradually over time from the environment. We would do that by building structures in orbit in the future, but right now, we have all the tools to do something far more practical: Create and build archologies on the surface or underwater.

Since human beings are sort of picky about their environments anyway, to provide our own air, recycling and power systems to grow food in a closed loop from outside the environment is something which our current engineering systems can solve.

No need to experiment with the environment outside, and much more useful than carbon taxes which do absolutely nothing but make problems worse by removing the financial benefits of climate change for building real solutions like the above.

A great way to test this out would be to build an archology on the island and move everyone into it. Depending on what the culture produces or decides, they could allow the archology to float or stay fixed.

It would represent a really valuable experiment to see what the details we would need to solve to make that happen.

It would also produce and refine the timelines on some technology we desperately need like Thorium reactor technology and Hydroponic farming on large scales.

And of course most of the industrial automation of the systems would be a HUGE project to make a distro of LINUX to handle. :-)

Call it Archology LINUX. All the software you need to run a archology! :-)
