Why does everyone say Google isn't out to crush the competition?
Their primary goal is to beat everyone else. You don't see them giving out their search secrets to competitors so they can keep up. The fact they haven't wiped out the competition is just a matter that the competition won't die, not that Google isn't trying to beat them. When Google starts giving money to dying search engines then people can say Google isn't out to crush competition. Until then, yes they are. MS is just "better" at it.
I like to think there are enough people out there like myself who detest steam. Why do I need to be connected to the internet to play a single player game? Why am I going to pay full price to dl a game? If I'm paying full price I want a disc, manual(preferably color) and some fancy box art.
Do we need Gamestop? Nah. But I'm not paying for digital only distribution. Give me my pretty box and disc please:)
MS lawyers have kept MS as a monopoly doing business as usual for years. You think the RIAA kids, I mean lawyers, can match that? Talk about throwing money away.
Is there any reason why they would say anything other than "this will hurt us competitively"? It only makes business sense to prevent Google from acquiring whenever you can. This seems equivalent to the FCC asking the telecoms how they feel about Google buying/leasing some airwaves.
I went to RIT. Rochester and more specifically RIT is pretty good at clearing the roads. If the kid drives it right, he will have a GREAT time in the snow.:)
Yea totally wrong comparison. One side is a company doing what it's suppose to do and doing it too well. The other is someone killing someone for some reason you didn't name. MS exists to get market share, it does it very well. So much so, losers wanted to slow them down. The kid doesn't exist to kill peoples parents I hope.
Yes. Adobe is better than MS and Apple, they can make a GUI anyway they please. Yes I'm a Adobe Fanboy. I await an Adobe designed OS running on all Nvidia hardware.:)
Lets not confuse the whole geek community with Slashdot. I like to believe that there are smart people outside of slashdot that aren't completely Lefty.
So you want sue people who use a program that someone else has previously shown can be broken? Who's next? Anyone who has bought anything with an encryption scheme?
And when the price they choose is $79.99 for the OS and 79.99 for Office basically pricing it below all competitors that aren't giving it away, then what? Ask them to raise the price so others can compete?
The only way you are going to get affordable healthcare for everyone( which means those who can't afford it) to have everyone(meaning those who already can afford it) front a larger percentage of the bill. I'll pass(needless to say I'm in the latter category).
As for a complete conversion like this, lets hold our applause until they've made a SMOOTH transition. The last thing the U.S. needs is to be offline for god knows how long because something went wrong in this transition you want so much.
Universal Healthcare, a pipe dream I wish people would wake up from.
I'm one of the haters who actually sat down and wanted Halo to be great and was let down. LIke you, I'm a PC Gamer. I was excited about Halo when I saw the E3 2000 video when it was suppose to be a 3rd person shooter for the PC that was like Tribes on crack. I camped out for my Xbox and got my copy of Halo. My friend and I played through the co op and after wards we gave game our own special title:
Halo: Repetition Evolved
The game just let me down on soooooo many levels. Absolutely nothing about it lived up to what I wanted. What I played before that: Goldeneye, Time Splitters, Tribes 2, Quake 2 DM/CTF, Quake 3 Rocket Arena, UT2004 DM/CTF, Rainbow 6 series (Raven Shield being the favorite). I felt like it tried to take the best of other games(mainly Tribes) and just failed at it as far as multiplayer was concerned. Single player well yea, that just sucked for me.:( Best console fps for me still is Goleneye.
He became the richest by playing the capitalist game better than you and everyone else on this site. Better luck next life. That site of your is a nice piece of propoganda. You don't agree with the current tax system, that's fine. Calling it a bug in society, not so much. Lastly, what have you to save the world that puts you into a looking down position to properly place him? What was that? Nothing of importance in comparison? Gotcha. You hate Gates, thats fine; you hate MS, that's also cool. But to short change what's he's done because you think you had a "better" way to spend those billions isn't right.

Best one was Hot Pursuit 2 for the PS2.
Nada. No one wanted to "gamble" like VZ with the FTTP roll out. Once they see it works(aka worth the investment), then they plan to play catch up.
It's called "borrowing" and I think google could take out a loan that would boggle the mind. If they wanted Nokia, they could have them.
ACTUALLY...
His question was "Why is US Grad School Mainly Non-US Students?"
Notice the lack of "s" at the end of school?
You used ARE and then added the "S" to school to make your question gramatically correct.
Should he have probably said "Why is MY US grad school mainly non US students?" ? Probably.
But he was referring to one school, his school, and used "is" correctly.

Except the PO is fed operated and the fed can't be held responsible for anything.

"What kind of person would create propaganda like this, knowing that many people will read it, and that many of those people might take it seriously?"
Someone who shorted a lot of stock?

It's about time.
MPAA is more powerful than the gaming industry and especially Rockstar. That's why.

Mr. Gates laughs at that thought.

Ur analogy only works on the premise he bought a router with the default wireless setting set to off.

Because companies are known for their quickness to confirm the contents of leaked internal memos when asked by a blog?

I agree to watch some commercials. They pay me with a show. Or I can pay the channel some money (HBO) and they give me a show.
