    Ok, I can see doing this for a proof of concept [perhaps that's what this was] but ..
    1. Dont they have doctors in eastern France?
    2. In countries where their is sufficent technology [hi speed fiber, tecks to support the robot], would it just be cheaper to have a doctor, say, at the hospital? There seem to be more doctors than lawyers where I live.
    3. Doctors need training in this, that means they charge more, plus the cost of robot.
    4. What happens in a brown-out?
    5. Robots don't seem to be able to make a car better, why should they be able to fix me better, or perhaps I'm just missing the whole point of this....

    well, if you take the total beachfront milage in the usa, and subtract the area of beach where police [lets say once a year] nab someone for natural bathing, I think you would find that you may stroll a large percentage of our beaches au natural without reasonable fear of arrest.

    otoh, keep moving, it's just something I made up ...

    of leased computers are usually pretty cheap.

    We had dozens of 3 year leased Sun Ultra 20's and the buyout was only about $400 per at the end of the lease.

    It sounds like just buying the box would be the least expensive & least painfull solution.

    As an interesting note, they were all leased with 20" sun monitors, and the leasing company didn't even want them back.

    well, for years I've debated owning a firearm (rifle, not a handgun).

    my friend is triming his collection, and has a rugar camp carbine (9mm) for sale.

    now throw in my personal nervousness over the WTC, plus (perhaps future) tighter gun control.

    So, well, I'll probably pick it up this weekend and store it in my attic...

    You might also want to think about why this attack occurred. How did the USA get into a position where someone hates it *so* much that they'd suicide themselves in revenge?

    point 1: Many people hate, all they need is a focal point to do damage, I bet most of them didn't hate America until they were *taught* to.

    point 2: There isn't a Country / Group / Person / Rock / Atom on this planet that another Country / Group / Person / Rock / Atom doesn't hate.

    I guess we should let all the criminals out of prison too....

    Maybe a better idea is to just let the prisoners out in your neighborhood, let them steal, rape and murder, while you stand on a soapbox spouting your message of peace and your desire to compromise.

    The people behind this are criminals. And *if* co-ordinated in *any* fashion by a recognised country, said country in fact just declared war against the USA.

    I imagine with the multiple attacks, the responsible parties will become obvious fairly quickly ... punishment will be swift, and we will probably only hear about it after the fact.

    To bill for your time to cutomize it for your employer is obvious ... Unless you mean you bill for the time it took the original progammer(s) to develop the code. That's fraud.

    I think, the opensource license (the spirit of) is that if you hack/resell, then you must give you customers the same advantage (included source) that you had ...

    It's funny, I've noticed that all the PT Cruisers are either "Touring Edition" [tinted windows / keyless entry] or "Limited Edition" [dead cow-skin added].

    "Limited Edition" is a marketing scam.
