On a related note, I remember a guy who bought a Porsche on his credit card in the late 1970s; $20,000 doesn't sound like so much to charge now... but then !
Ok, I can see doing this for a proof of concept [perhaps that's what this was] but..
1. Dont they have doctors in eastern France?
2. In countries where their is sufficent technology [hi speed fiber, tecks to support the robot], would it just be cheaper to have a doctor, say, at the hospital? There seem to be more doctors than lawyers where I live.
3. Doctors need training in this, that means they charge more, plus the cost of robot.
4. What happens in a brown-out?
5. Robots don't seem to be able to make a car better, why should they be able to fix me better, or perhaps I'm just missing the whole point of this....
Micheal's submission of Paul McMasters article ever got posted is beyond me....just another "short on facts long on retoric article" from the cheap seats....
well, if you take the total beachfront milage in the usa, and subtract the area of beach where police [lets say once a year] nab someone for natural bathing, I think you would find that you may stroll a large percentage of our beaches au natural without reasonable fear of arrest.
otoh, keep moving, it's just something I made up...
I can call a box of raisins terrorists if I want to.
I've got one for you; how about radical / fundimentalists Christains who bomb abortion clinics? They sound like terrorists to me. I hope the govenrment goes after them too [when this al-Qaida situation is taken care of].
What we have here is someone new to trolling. See how lame a comment he makes? Now, he'll crawl back into his hole and think about this for a while before emerging and trying again elsewhere.
This has been brought to you by Mutual of Omaha's Wild Troll Kingdom.
You might also want to think about why this attack occurred. How did the USA get into a position where someone hates it *so* much that they'd suicide themselves in revenge?
point 1: Many people hate, all they need is a focal point to do damage, I bet most of them didn't hate America until they were *taught* to.
point 2: There isn't a Country / Group / Person / Rock / Atom on this planet that another Country / Group / Person / Rock / Atom doesn't hate.
I guess we should let all the criminals out of prison too....
Maybe a better idea is to just let the prisoners out in your neighborhood, let them steal, rape and murder, while you stand on a soapbox spouting your message of peace and your desire to compromise.
The people behind this are criminals. And *if* co-ordinated in *any* fashion by a recognised country, said country in fact just declared war against the USA.
I imagine with the multiple attacks, the responsible parties will become obvious fairly quickly... punishment will be swift, and we will probably only hear about it after the fact.
To bill for your time to cutomize it for your employer is obvious... Unless you mean you bill for the time it took the original progammer(s) to develop the code. That's fraud.
I think, the opensource license (the spirit of) is that if you hack/resell, then you must give you customers the same advantage (included source) that you had...
It's funny, I've noticed that all the PT Cruisers are either "Touring Edition" [tinted windows / keyless entry] or "Limited Edition" [dead cow-skin added].
I've contracted there and it sucks.
Mostly they like hiring ex-military, cus they're cheap and take orders without thinking to much about it.

"I can't think of a good commercial use for it," lamented Bilyk. "But nobody has been successful at it, and yet it the oldest dream of flight."
:-P
Perhaps next, Bilyk can try the old "Lead into Gold" at least there would be a good comercial use for it

just like Sam, does that count?

I bet a simular percentage wants to "Bomb the Shit out of the Middle East"
Good thing polls don't run the country.

you are a sick motherfucker
I hope you get fired when a customer complains there are no pickles on their big mac
to say "God's Anger" is responsible for this sounds like these guys are on the wrong side of the planet.
......
Let's all chip in a few Dracmas and help send them to their brothers

Is it just me, or do pheromones sound like poop?
of leased computers are usually pretty cheap.
We had dozens of 3 year leased Sun Ultra 20's and the buyout was only about $400 per at the end of the lease.
It sounds like just buying the box would be the least expensive & least painfull solution.
As an interesting note, they were all leased with 20" sun monitors, and the leasing company didn't even want them back.
Imagine the possibilities....
well, for years I've debated owning a firearm (rifle, not a handgun).
my friend is triming his collection, and has a rugar camp carbine (9mm) for sale.
now throw in my personal nervousness over the WTC, plus (perhaps future) tighter gun control.
So, well, I'll probably pick it up this weekend and store it in my attic...
Again, I know it's stupid....
but I'm buying a firearm from a friend today ... a nice 9mm.
peace-out
I've heard billions (1,000,000,000's) but that could be "on paper" not what he has access to.

...cus the voices in my head tell me to.
Hasn't ST discovered Hollywood by now? Pleanty of silicon there ....

Rest easy, I'm sure big fake hooters are on the way
the original ST series .... all the chicks in those mini-dresses, yowzaa!

"Limited Edition" is a marketing scam.
