  1. Easier to deal with even numbers than odd on Hacker Exposes Evidence of Widespread Grade Tampering In India · · Score: 1

All the exam papers are hand corrected and manually totaled. During the grading process, the graders tend to give marks which total to an even number. For example, say the total up until the previous question is 23. Then if the next question is for 6 marks, the grader might assign 5 marks for that answer to get the total so far to 28. Mental arithmetic of even numbers is easier and this saves the grader from going over two passes to obtain the total at the end. All of these several hundred thousand papers are manually graded between the end of exams in April and the declaration of results in June.

The graders only work with a roll number and school number so they have no information about the identity of the student when grading. This has nothing to do with the caste system as some people here are suggesting. The identity of the student is matched with the roll number *after* the papers are graded.

They pander to the lowest common denominator and frequently vandalize all around the state and force city shutdowns with political clout and blatant violence. And the data transfers were at odd hours. And this was with the phone on it's default settings, no apps and all notifications turned off. Sure enough we talked to AT&T about this who just told us to complain to Apple. We went ahead and filed a complaint with FCC.

The engine rules are set to change for 2013 though to employ technology which can be transferred to road cars. Another energy saving measure introduced last year was KERS (Kinetic Energy Recovery System) which stored energy generated from braking which could be used as addition bhp during the race.

I thought that apart from leaving aside some things to the domain of metaphysics, they could've had a semi-plausible explanation of a number of things. Since the island was shown to have a core of extremely high electromagnetic activity that caused the plane to crash in the first place, they could've shown that to be the reason for the island having a warped spacetime. The flashes could've been portrayed as times when wormholes were generated which connected different spacetimes. Once the donkeywheel was fixed in place, this didn't happen anymore and the bunch was stuck in the 70s until the subsequent flash and the second plane crash. Due to the extremely warped spacetime, the clock time on the island would go really slowly as compared to the clock time in the present world. One can only guess as to what it is like in such a region of spacetime and that would've given the writers considerable leeway as to what they could get away with transformation between states of matter (smokey). The explosion of the bomb would've been a good shot at what might happen if one was faced with the Grandfather Paradox and if that would prevent the course of events from the time cone from that point on. Also, it would've been a good take on what happens when a tremendous amount of energy is released at the source of a tremendous electromagnetic field. The bunch could've lived a lifetime on the island which had a slow time clock and still this lifetime might seem like a fraction of a second in the real time during their flight on Oceanic 815.

Hardly. Purists never will accept such change but that is how languages develop. This shortened form was frowned upon by the erudite of the Egyptian civilization too.
