    Special features include:
    • Making Of

    • Animatronics Feature
    • Pebble Mill Appearance By Rod Lord And Alan J Bell

    • Easter Eggs

So you get lots of information about the making of the radio series, a 'retrospective' documentary with some of the actors in character, information about how the effects were done, and much much more.

As we said, those hardcore Hitchhikers out there have little to worry about. Although they should be warned that the movie's faithfulness means all its best jokes will be very familiar. For them, it's more a case of basking comfortably in the nostalgia than laughing out loud. This is a good idea, but it's also helpful (where possible) to put the subtitles in the same language as the audio.

I am always amazed how much more I understand when I do this in German, a language I speak relatively well. If you can scan the same words in the same language, your comprehension of the spoken word goes up immensely. Just imagine a native speaker slurring words together, pronouncing them differently than you're expecting... This technique helps you pick out the words, gives you another chance to catch something you might have missed, as the parent poster said about the English subtitles, without having to worry about translating in your head.

I'd recommend you do this for a movie you already know though - you will miss bits, and you'd hate to find you've not enjoyed a movie because your language skills weren't up to the task!

I'm not trying to say you don't know this; I assume you know that QA isn't something you bolt on after the coding is done & you think you finished... in a perfect world, QA are involved in every step of the design and implementation process, checking your design, documentation, assumptions, test frameworks, everything...

And you're right - this guy's (implied) attitude of 'QA are just there to stop me shipping' is a problem, but equally so are some people's attitudes (not necessarily yours) that 'QA is just there to test the final builds'.

I've seen any number of projects go right off the timeline because the testers got something that wasn't any good, and 'QA' was a rubber-stamp that they applied when the testers were done (or when the ship date arrived, whichever happened first). If QA had been involved from the get-go, they ought to have insisted on unit tests, function tests and all the others that were listed in a previous post, and I won't repeat here...

I build an inexpensive 4 drive 480GB RAID array a few years ago that I've been delighted with since. I have survived a disk failure with minimal downtime and no data loss.

Whenever my employer (and I don't speak for them, by the way) offers something as 'turnkey' it means that the customer turns the key in the lock of the door, and the system is right there working for them.
