A smart cop would not want to stop people at closing time as he would be pulling over bar staff leaving work. But almost everyone leaving a bar 3o minutes before closing is legally drunk. So simply sitting at an advantageous spot and pulling over cars leaving the bar would yield a huge amount of good arrests. Yet town discourage cops from using this tactic as it disrupts business. Think about that a bit. Wouldn't we want to catch every drunk driver every time they drive drunk?
OK I will teach people to beat the polygraph only on nongovernmental tests. For example employers sometimes ask for random polygraph checks. Now does that make me exempt from legal prosecutions? Are our laws that silly?

We also have lost tax dollars on a kangaroo court trial that was political in nature. We have had civil suits against Mr. Zimmerman. Yet the Martin family has not been sued and since they have claimed wrong doing on the part of Mr. Zimmerman they should have their socks sued off of their feet. This type of nonsense is what happens when so-called activists stir the pot in the wrong direction. The issue was never race. One real issue was gun ownership and Mr.Zimmerman was targeted by the black community as well as the anti gun lunatics. I can not imagine a person who deserves to be killed more than a youth who assaults others in the night.
It also makes a point that our government may not like. Forced sleep deprivation which has been a form of torture of prisoners meets any definition of torture as it causes a brain injury that is permanent. Will the right wing back off of welfare policies that cause mothers to go through degrading, impossible and flat out destructive and dangerous requirements to get a welfare check? Why does the right wing create conditions which force a woman to ride three hours on a work bus to earn minimum wage and another three hours to get home and then whine that she does not care for her babies well enough just because they force her to be absent 14 hours a day. Why do we allow minimum wages to be so low? Why is it that our kids are actually smart enough to confront the fact that crime, as bad as it is, is in fact their only opportunity to actually earn a living? Why do jails and prisons fail to provide excellent educations and skills training?

You can bet that the mafia raised certain young people with the intention of getting them as spies within law enforcement agencies. The Outlaw motorcycle gang apparently went out of its way to get agents into the Florida law enforcement agencies with the intention of avoiding arrests and squirreling up convictions. You can imagine how this must work. You get a willing high school kid that fits the bill and keep him supplied with favors. It might be cars or motorcycles or girls or cash. But the deal is that they must do well in school and avoid trouble at all costs and do things that would look good for them as an employee applicant. In essence the guy will be useless at first but as he gains more and more exposure to information he can feed the club with ways to avoid convictions as well as ways to take money or make money. For example if you know of a dealer who has cash on hand the gang can strike and make quite a bit of cash with ease. Even mundane information such as who is applying to purchase an expensive gun or what address an expensive car or motorcycle lists on its registration can come in handy. And hooker arrests are of interest as well as a bit of overwhelming persuasion can take place to have her pimped out by the gang. One wonders how common this type of thing is in law enforcement agencies.
We have had incidents in which parts melted in summer in Florida from time to time. I recall a ford Pinto steering wheel having melted and slumped off of the wheel. We also see windows burst in cars with good door and window seals every now and then.
Take these inmates and make them smoke crack several times a day for two weeks. Upon release they will never spend a moment on their computers again. They will spend their lives rushing about seeking crack, getting high, coming down and then crashing until the cravings hit again. Compared to crack internet addiction is nothing at all. Crack can take care of numerous problems. Crack will get the wife and kids out of your life. Crack will get you out of your job permanently. Crack will take care of your car rather quickly. But don't worry crack rentals are available. Crack will also take care of your house as well. In many cases that 20K roach box you laughingly called a mobile home will be replaced by a stunning 40 million dollar prison where you will be fed, clothed and housed for free and every single decision will be made for you in every element of your life. Cell therapy is so very restful. What could be nicer?
So I know ten people and although I can be fairly certain that none of them would ever use terror tactics one might have a negative view of the nation. We can either refrain from making babies or get used to cooking and eating newborns.
It is hardly as if we compel people to visit the US. Being that coming into the states is totally up to our visitors just what is their real complaint?

If you look at US cities that have traditionally focused on tourism they have not done well as a rule. They are similar to failed cities in the rust belt before those cities completely collapsed. Causing the car to slow down doesn't make the nation a dime. Simply assigning large fines for speeding and automating the capture of license plates and sending out the fines could make a nation billions. Tick tock!
There surely are areas in which the public schools are quite adequate and safe for kids. But that simply is not true in other areas. In truth we live in an era in which kids are known to shoot school mates just to get their sneakers. Whether we are talking about seniors or kids there is a certain nagging truth that the poor are sort of dangerous. And some areas have more racial and ethnic conflicts than others. At my old high school it is really not safe for any white students now. And I do strongly suspect that these conflicts will deepen. There simply are no easy answers. We just had a student severely beaten by three other students on a school bus. The primary reason for the attack was that the victim had refused to buy drugs from the three that attacked him. They robbed him during the attack as well. And we now see a judge putting the three 15 year old attackers on probation. It makes me want to scream. Those three deserve a 30 year prison sentence. Certainly they could be put into a youth facility until they are 18 or so and then be transferred to an adult prison. Who wants a kid to be in school with students already caught in major felonious crimes? Public policy towards offenders is way too lenient in many ways. And you can bet that of those three young criminals at least one of them will continue to commit crimes. I would say putting your child in a school with that type of person is child abuse in itself.
Obviously poverty has indirect effects which generate more poverty. In can be nutrition or the need to be on guard while at rest or sleep, or simply a lack of medical or dental care, or depression or other mental illness, or substance abuse, or simply pain from being bitten by mosquitoes and unable to bathe or change clothing that lowers perceptions and makes less able the unfortunate. Only government has the money or the ability to pull many people out of poverty.
Patrolling isles in prisons is one good use of these devices. One could slide by a call once every three minutes and report sounds of distress etc..
The greatest issue with this sort of thing is the loss of jobs for humans. There are large condominium projects where a swarm of these robots could be much better than one or two human guards.
