I did a lot of research both at AVSForums and at a local dealer. I decided on the Infocus 5700. I also saw the Infocus 4800, but the faster color wheel (reduces rainbows), and higher resolution of the 5700 was definately worth the extra money in my book.
I would have really liked to get the 7200, but like all electronics the prices of projectors are falling fast. I decided that I could upgrade in a year or two and spend alot less in the long run.
All I know is that once you've seen a HD Football game on a 119" screen, you will never want to go back to a "normal" tv.
You have to love Infocus' marketing: You measure your tv size in inches? How cute.
To the "widespread" masses, which includes my mom (hehe), recompiling your browser to fix a compatibility problem with a plug-in is not something that they can and/or are willing to learn to do.
Are the "widespread" masses (including our moms) going to be downloading a beta web browser?
So once again, this goes back to being a non-issue.
We need competent journalists and technical writers to explain cutting edge science to us just as, though we hate to admit it, we need competent marketing and sales people to sell software.
Agreed. When you find a competent marketing person, please send them my way, I have this project that could use them......
Since you mentioned astronomy, and you will be here in the Winterish months, be sure to check out the Orion Nebula. Maybe not up to par with the Large Megellanic cloud, but definately the best in the Northern Hemisphere.
Our doctor also told us that hiccups are not frustrating and don't bother babies like they do adults. I didn't neccesarily believe this part. Why wouldn't they bother the baby just like they bother adults, does anyone know?
There are 250 Million blank CDRs and tapes bought and used this year for copying music in comparison to 213 Million prerecorded audio media. This means the owners are only being paid for 46 per cent of the musical content.
So, every single one of those 250 Million CDRs are used for music huh? Well, they'll have to change their figures, because I have 17 of them with data on them, pictures, files, etc. No music at all. So I guess it's down to 249,999,983 now.
The speed of light in a vacuum is 299,792,458 meters/ second. To convert mph to meters/second we divide by 2.236. So 260,000 mph is "only" 116,230.5 meters/second. Less than half the speed of light.
My Car stereo reads CD-ROM/CD-R/CD-RW. It also plays mp3 (Aiwa CDC MP3). Does this mean that this CD will not play in my car even? I don't think that is what Sony intended......
Just Curious...Were you working at Nicolet Biomedical?
Wasn't a spoiler (My opinion at least)

I wouldn't consider this a spoiler. It gave a bit of the plot, so I can see how some people would call it a spoiler, but it was only a paragraph worth. The next 3 pages had no info about the plot at all.
Your PC don't even come close. The PC's available when this console comes out should be superior to it, but right now there is nothing that even comes close. In the article it says that the PSX-2 can do 55 million polygons a second with no effects or 13 million polygons a second with lighting, fog, and bezier curves. The Voodoo3, which isn't available until early summer will do 8 million polygons a second and has no hardware support for bezier curves.

I have an Infocus 5700. The bulb lasts 3000 hours. I'm am planning on upgrading to a better projector before the bulb runs out.
By the time the bulb does run out, it will probably cost about $.05 per hour to run it.
Well, Longhorn is currently scheduled for 2006, so my guess is ~3 years.
Based on Microsoft's past scheduling, I'll guess ~4 years.

Clearly flavor is more common.

Looks like the DJIA, S&P 500, NYSE, and Nasdaq are all up 1.5-2%. I don't think it affected the markets at all.
You cheated, those are the statistics from the last 100 posts.

Still quite an impressive speed.
I also type 'save' while at the bash prompt.

Counter attacking is not a good solution, for several reasons. 1) We do not know who to blame, and blind lynching leads to many problems,
Counter attacking by definition means attacking the people who attacked us. It does not mean blink lynching.

What we need is someone with more graphical ability than me to make Phantom Menace Themes! Gtk Themes, E themes, WM Themes, etc, etc :)
