I'm afraid it's not your shity key you have to get rid of Mr.Erroneus. It's your finger that actually violated the DMCA, therefore we must ask you to remove it and place it in this plastic bag.
More than twice as expensive, limited sizes and it's proprietary nature. And Sony's pointless insistance that all it's products support it, despite there being three better alternatives.
DRM is the biggest reason I stay away from Windows.
To be fair, spyware isn't totally Microsofts fault. But DRM certainly is. Viruses are not a problem if you've got a decent scanner and are careful about downloading files from the big bad net.
Oh, one of the bonuses of using Linux is when windows users ask you what virus scanner you use:)

The Amiga had a Help key. I believe it was where the PC's Escape key is. Or it could be on the other side not sure, been a while. The thing that always amused me was the fact that for most programs, even Workbench, the help key did nothing. Not a thing.
They might as well have renamed it the 'RTFM' key.
Seriously, who cares about Vorbis outside the faction of *nix users with +1 Amulets of OSS Awe?
The same was said about MP3. Who cares about MP3, few computers can decode it in real time anyway...
I don't understand why everytime there is an article about Ogg here loads of people rush to write about how pointless it is and there's no point using it.
Get over it!!!
It's a great format! There's no question about that. People who use it would love to see it better supported. It makes sense! So where's the harm in that? Why should you spend your time saying that's it wrong for people to want a great technology supported in there iPod or whatever player they have.
Last time I was in London, I brought my trusty CF-41 laptop. As owners of this fine invincible laptop will know, nobody will steal it. Firstly, it looks boring. And if some brave fool did try to steal it he wouldn't get far... unless he had a forklift. The thing weighs a ton. To add to insult, it's a 25MHz 486.
Nobody will steal this. I was wishing someone would just so I wouldn't have to carry the bloody thing around anymore. At least I got a good workout...
Warwick Davis = Marvin (?!? uh, Willow?? is Marvin short, I can't remember)
Short and fat, with a really big head. At least that's the movie version. You can see him in a Quicktime video on that website, one of the older blog entries.
BBC1 is filled with a lot of crap I agree, but nowhere near as bad as ITV. Rarly is there a show on that channel I want to watch, the last one being 'Highlander'. And as much as I liked the show, I had to give up on it. ITV never shows it at the same time, nor even the same day some weeks. Now and then it would disappear from the channel completly. I imagine this happens to any program on that channel that isn't a soap or un-reality show.
I wouldn't call Beagle 2 a failure. It didn't accomplish it's scientific goals but it proved that a small group of people with all the odds against them can produce a high quality spacecraft (and it was a high quality piece of kit, excluding perhaps the parachute) and get it to another world.
And it did get to Mars! Sure, it landed much like a bowl of petunias falling from several miles would -- but the fact that it flew at all was the amazing thing. Keep an eye out for the BBC documentary on the whole mission to get an idea of what I mean.
My message to the Beagle 2 team: It's difficult getting to Mars, and for your first attempt you did really well. Better luck next time!
You are not limited to 587. You can use any of those you listed. I was on a similar network as that once, and discovered port 0 wasn't filtered. It's often forgot about, so worth checking.
And what happens when someone just uses that SPF record to see which systems will relay email for my domain and then just uses that server to send out lots of spam
Your email server is an open relay? If so, you've got bigger problems than SPF. If you mail does not reply anything coming in from the Internet, then you should not have any problem.
As for remote users, set them up to use SASL SMTP on port 587. That way only they can relay mail from outside your own network.
Or better yet, anyone got an MPEG or other decent format?

Sony Memory Stick slot
This would be a good reason *NOT* to buy it.
Who honestly cares about or uses Ogg? Really. I have yet to even contemplate it. Sure I have the codec on my machine, but I haven't used it.
So why the long rant? If you don't use it that is.
Apple have made some fairly good looking computers, but am I the only one to find the iPod rather ugly? I can't understand what people see in it.
They also say that current cheap broadband products will more than likely not be viable in five years time
BT have cheap broadband products? Yikes, they've kept that well hidden!

So why don't we speak of "Avi movies"
I do. And I know lots of people who do aswell. Infact, nobody I know calls them 'divx movies'.
We simply have AVI and MPEG files. Dosen't get any more complicated than that.

Er, that would be the Zaurus's GUI ...
... not ... working.
To early in the morning for me to be commenting on Slashdot! Bring
if you click and hold on an icon for longer than 1 second, a context menu would appear
The Zaurus's OS (QPE) does something similar to this aswell.
we will see lots of adds
Yep, that's all we need! Even more mathematics!

*phew*! Glad I got all that outta my system!
Of to work I go...
Maybe because they are German?
I realise it hitchhiked there, by 'flew' I mean launched.
.. and briefly.
And it did fly, vertically

"Is that program finished yet?"
"URGH!"
