Why buy a VW beetle when you can buy a Hummer, equip it with as many extra gallons of gas as you want (it's cheap these days), and do infinitely more things with it beyond just driving around, such as get lost in a forest or parachute into desert combat?
I agree. Lack of unicode support in Word can be crippling for a scholar writing about ancient Greek texts. MS simply doesn't allow such a scholar to look up ancient texts on perseus and just copy and paste a couple of lines of the Greek in a Greek font with accents. Too bad - you gotta retype every letter and hope you know the language well enough to get the accents right.
read this study before whining about marijuana and driving. Also, it's just silly to imagine that the only reason pot hasn't been legalized is that we don't have the right test to determine if someone is "under the influence."

People do fuck cats. I was as surprised to learn this as anyone but I had a housemate in college who had a cat that was unnaturally friendly with humans. Really friendly. I finally asked him what was up with his cat and he told me that his former roommate was fucking her with a q-tip. I'm not making this up. I thought it was insane, but it makes a hilarious story (well, not so funny for the cat), so I was telling some other people about this a few weeks later and one guy said, "that's not so weird, I've done that." What?! For real - he claimed he and friends were having a poker game and the cat was in heat and wouldn't stop whining until somebody got busy, again with a q-tip. He was like, you don't understand, the cat wouldn't shut up, etc. etc. The way he was talking it was like it wasn't that unusual to him at all. Based on this purely anecdotal and entirely unscientific survey I would suggest that cat fuckers are actually more common than you might think.....
What I know about peoplesoft is they make human resources management software for large organizations; the entire California State University system, for example, keeps track of employees and faculty and students with software from peoplesoft. I haven't heard good things about their software, and my overall impression (though based on limited first hand experience) is that the system would be much better off with open source solutions, but of course that isn't my decision to make.
The vita doesn't say what he was doing prior to 2000. It is common in academia to only put the last few years on your vita to stress your latest accomplishments. Also, as someone else noted, he likely spent at least a few years prior to his first publication working on a PhD on this topic.
It never left the ground. The illusion of it going up in the air was created to make us believe in it; it's a powerful myth of course, but it's all a hoax, unfortunately.
It looks like nad in a graphical browser. They should at least throw in some s to make it easier to see where comments start and end... But it's hella good for lynx and w3m!
would be to get MOL running on OS X so you could run OS 9 natively without rebooting. I have a couple apps that don't run in Classic; it would be nice not to have to reboot to run them. If MOL ran on OSX it seems a better solution than Classic, I would think.
Then your commentary is not relevant here.
is that "bloggier" is cited as an improvement of the author's prose style.

But they will claim the larger capacity leads to twice as much piracy, as the RIAA did with CD-Rs.
just wait till you're old enough to learn the truth about that WMD thing.

Best not to stick the keyboard in your colon either.

Keep the earth still, but move the universe around it.
Because they're too busy kicking our asses at games!
Bluetooth is dead, remember?

This is great for cocaine users! I only like coke for the smell anyway....
Musical taste: no longer just a good idea; it's the law.
Or like the CIA's Terrorism Busters logo?

I agree. Microsoft's lawyers really need to relax.
You're misreading it. It's a device for handheld games; i.e. portable storage for all your pr0n.
