It's hard to justify buying an Xbox 360 if Sony does cut their prices. There's so much more you get with the PS3 including HDMI, Blu-Ray drive for movies AND games, built in WiFi, free online forever, soon to be free MMO (Home), and HDMI. Looks like Microsoft may have to cut their own prices to compete.

  6. Re:Huh? on Bush Commutes Libby's Sentence · · Score: 0

The commute of Libby's sentence was the right thing to do even though it reflects poorly on Bush. You can't tell me that Libby deserved to go to jail for "obstructing" an investigation into whether someone committed a crime by outing a non-covert CIA agent. The prison sentence was nothing more than a which hunt and if Libby went to jail he would have been an American political prisoner.

Just because the man is a Republican doesn't mean he needs to go to jail. I understand that many here dislike Bush, but I don't see how calling for the blood of an innocent man helps your cause any.

Justice was served today. Libby didn't deserve to go to jail. Bush did the right thing by pardoning Libby even though he looks bad in doing so. I give Bush credit for standing and doing the right thing even when it's unpopular. He's done that many times in his presidency. It's good to have a president that governs based on morals and convictions, not based on the latest poll from CNN.

    1) Kill all Islamic terrorists.

    2) Convert to Islam.

  15. Re:Causes, not symptoms on Human Nature Trumps Homeland Security · · Score: 3, Insightful

Interfering with their politics? More like daring to a non-Islamic free society. To quote the Aussie PM:

Australia is a western nation. Nothing can, will or should alter that fact. As such, in this new world, we are a terrorist target. Those who assert that through some calibration of our foreign policy we can buy immunity from terrorist attacks advance a proposition which is both morally flawed and factually wrong.

It is morally flawed because this nation should never fashion its foreign policy under threat. The foreign policy of Australia should always reflect the values of Australia. Bin Laden identified Australia as a terrorist target because of the intervention in East Timor. Let me pose the question, if that threat had been issued prior to the invention in 1999 should the Australian government have pulled back? I think not. Would the Australian public have wanted the government then in the face of that threat to have pulled back? I think not. The proposition about your foreign policy being adjusted is also factually flawed because the victims of terrorists over the past decade have come from many nations sharing a full variety of foreign policy and strategic views.

  19. Windows Vista Truly is an Amazing Operating System on Windows Vista Launches To Mixed Reactions · · Score: 5, Funny

I waited several hours in line on the night before release to be one of the first to use Windows Vista. I must say that Vista is an amazing operating system. It is hands-down the best product that Microsoft has ever put out, and probably the best operating system that the world has ever seen.

Why upgrade from XP? There's so much new in Vista that your head will just boggle. From new Internet Explorer 7 to desktop search features to a virus / spyware scan utility that eliminates the need for Norton, Vista is on the cutting edge of technology. Another thing that impressed me is the improvements Microsoft made to the little games that come with the OS. Solitaire, Minesweeper, and all your favorites are back with improved graphics and game play along with newcomers like Chess and Hold'Em. Did I mention the the Aero desktop environment is the worlds first 3D desktop?

Windows Vista is more than just an incremental upgrade, it's on a whole new level compared to XP. Congratulations to Microsoft for releasing an amazing product. They spent $6 billion and five years on this operating system and it really shows.
