    Why would they need any signage? There are plenty of buildings where I will lose all reception. It may not be intentional, but they don't need any signs saying "Little to no cell reception in here". It's like the people calling for Niantic to have a more verbose warning in Pokemon Go. There are already trespassing laws and many states ban cell phone use while driving. Why does everyone always insist that we are responsible for constantly protecting fools from their own stupidity?

  5. Has less to do with poverty than the fact these are hastily built structures. Russia had a number of issues too. I remember a story of one athlete having to break through the door or wall after being locked in the bathroom because the handle fell off.

    As I understand it, there are nocturnal Pokemon that are only found at night. Of course, parks close at dusk around here, so the cops have been shooing people away. A local police department posted on Facebook a picture of a dozen people next to the sign saying the park closes at dusk after they were called there.

  15. The robot doesn't have hour restrictions. A quick search of McDonald's in my area show many of them are open 24 hours. That is 168 hours of operation or 4.2 employees at 40 hrs/week. So that robot can replace 4 employees at $16k/year and takes the ROI down to 6 months.

    LONG before "the machines take all our jobs", we're going to see raised expectations of what a human being should do to earn pay. Automation will slowly weed out the "mindless work" that pays you to use your body but not your brain.

    That's the whole problem. Half the population's brains don't function much higher than that of a chimpanzee. What do we do with these people?

    Most automatic transmission vehicles built in the last two decades won't let you remove the keys if the vehicle isn't in Park. And if you try to leave the car with the keys in the ignition, they will beep at you.

    Who said they needed to remove the keys. My grandmother stopped at the end of the driveway to get her mail, didn't put the car fully in park. It rolled back over her foot, across the street and into the ditch. She too blamed the car.

    There is part of the problem. The 2nd language is a requirement in high school in the US and languages are much harder to learn later in life. I had 4 years of Spanish in high school and a year in high school. They do a poor job of teaching it too as it was more focused on reading/writing. Never got to be any good at speaking or understanding it. Now it's as though I never took it.
