    dish network only bundles because of the promos offered by viacom and other media companies. I have Dish and asked to have the channel packages changed to get just what I want and they did that for me but I have to pay extra so they can cover the cost of the bundle they have to pay viacom for.

    Yeah and when/if everyone has a MAc then there will be a shit load of viruses for the MAC whooptie doo. The reason Windows is a target is because it is such a fucking giant one and it sure as hell doesn't help when the M$ folks don't do anything about it. But if you think for a second that everyone switching OSes will stop virus writers you are sorley mistaken.

    true but they also returned atmospheric data for the entire desent to the surface which helped us figure out that there is a relitivly "calm" section of atmophere on venus. not alot for the general public but quite nice for the science community.

    spoken like a true movie producer. Actually reviews are quite useful. If everyone went to see the movie instead of checking a review then millions of people would go see a crapy movie. Now while this may not seem like a problem, except for all us poor bastards who wasted our money, it tells movie producers that "hey this movie made money therefore it must be good and we shall continue to make this crap". Where as if a review is read first we then midigate the potential for a movie producer to make another crapy movie. Of course my thoery completely falls apart with producers like Jerry Bruckhiemer who seems to produce endless streams of crap regardless of profit or reviews... Newman!!!

    As a software engineer every employment ofer I have ever signed has stated that anything I code while an employee of the company is property of the company. Unless you ask to have the company's employment offer ratified for you I would bet that 905 of programmers are in the same position.

    Siebel can also run on top of MSSQL. But most people run it with Oracle for obvious reasons. So I think you're right he is laughing all the way to the bank. Besides what makes you think that Larry doesn't own a piece of Siebel right? Good ole boys always keep it in the network.

    isn't increased sunspot activity a precusor to a solar pole shift? But I think the curent activity is out of cycle. We aren't due for another solar pole for like 4 or 5 years. I belive the pole shifts are every 10 to 11 years.
