Keyboards meanwhile have a definite edge as a blunt instrument, able to focus the full power along one edge or to spread the impact across the face of the bottom, or even cause the embedding of key shrapnel.
But only if you're using the IBM Model M. Modern keyboards just don't have the structural integrity to cause damage to anything but themselves.
And it's comments like yours that demonstrate that the sarcasm gene is not evenly distributed.
Don't forget that it also demonstrates the lack of movie references that all Slashdot readers should keep in cache (or at least memory) instead of swapping out to disk.
There are just some things that are funnier when the reference isn't explicit.
On a related note, some people suggest that if you give a console a mouse/keyboard and the ability to make/download mods, then that console will kill PC gaming... But I'd say it IS a PC at that point, just one you can't get in and tweak the hardware. (But how is that any different than your average name brand computer system?)
This is an important point. As consoles become more advanced to take over the PC gaming market they become the PC gaming market. So PC gaming will always be here and console gaming will eventually end. Right now you can buy games where the CDs are both PC and Mac versions. How long until you see a game and the packaging says PC/Mac/XBox?
This type of stuff varies depending on what state you are in, but the "at-will" nature of employment means you can be fired at any time -- even right now!
And that's why I try my bike lock key in every vending machine and elevator I happen across because someday I'm going to find my free cokes and override everyone's car calls.

Can't the Chinese surf to external sites, where such problems are rampant???
I don't have a source in front of me but I think that's illegal in China.
I thought this was abuse.

This was in Keyhole but it's still amazing. Screenshots really can't capture how amazing it is to freely move around a 3D world.
Freely moving around a 3D world? Is that anything like what I do all the time?
"Garden State" my ass.
Can't wait to download my Lucy Lu-bot from Nappster. Wonder if I have any Mac-formatted blank robots around.
I havn't actually seen this thing, but is it any bigger than the heatsinks in a Mac?
It's bigger than the heatsink on a Mac. Heck, it's bigger than a Mac. I've seen smaller fans hanging from ceilings.
The government must be learning from watching Blu-Ray and HD-DVD.
When you first connect the iPod to your computer if formats the drive based on your system. So if your PC can read HFS+ you can copy from a Mac iPod.
Apple doesn't want to lose it's userbase.

So stop reading Slashdot and get back to work.

I thought the moral was: Don't wear a red shirt on ST:TOS
Chrichton, Michael. Jurassic Park. Page 369.
I'm sorry, but what a crappy citation. At least give the edition of the book so I can know if my page 369 has the same content as your page 369.
Or a regular phone?
I find it interesting that you refer to Blair by his real name and not hit pen name. Do you do this with all authors with pen names?
If I never see another fat guy in a unitard it will be too soon.

Just because it's not classified doesn't mean it isn't sensitive.
