I know, right? It's like it was intentional or something.
However, the entire premise here is that people ARE able to tell that the guns aren't possible, or wouldn't work THAT way, or, or, or.
Like everything else in video games, guns just have to be realistic enough. I think the premise is that the bar is set too low. Besides, it's a firearms blog. I'm sure there's someone making the level design argument on some geek oriented architecture blog.
If game designers have to take an realistic approach to future weapon designs, what are they doing designing games? They should design weapons.
If game designers have to take an realistic approach to level design, what are they doing designing games? They should design buildings.
Making a futuristic piece of technology look plausible takes different skills than inventing it. Plus, there's the off chance that they enjoy making games more than making guns.
Sony had a policy where if your game wasn't 3d they didn't want to let you release it
Really? What about Mega Man X4-7, GTA I & II, Red Alert Retaliation, Warcraft II and all the Squaresoft re-releases? I can think of more 2d PSX games than N64 games and Dreamcast games combined.
When was the last time you saw someone react rationally to child porn? I give it 8 years, long enough that people are used the bill, before they start overraeching with it.
I've tried to get myself into this habit. I check by counting my fingers (I've read that there is often the wrong number on each hand in dreams). While I can remember to check consistently when going to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I almost never remember when I'm actually dreaming. I've found a more consistent indicator is whether or not I remember to check, which, unfortunately, isn't all that useful.
Don't be ridiculous. The 19th century had much saner IP laws.

He contends that faith (belief in something that cannot be proven) is fraudulent, while arguing from and promoting a philosophy that cannot be proven (atheism).
Um... isn't that supposed to be the default position in the sciences? If there's no evidence one way or the other for the existence of something, that is to say there is no experiment that will have a different result depending on whether or not this thing exists, then it may as well not exist. It's the argument that Russell's teapot, um, is. I can claim, with the same degree of confidence that there is no teapot floating through the asteroid belt, that there is no god.
How about using its position to prevent other online retailers from getting exclusive content? Not the same thing, I'll grant you, but certainly a step in that direction.

In other news, Yasser Arafat turns 81.
Faulty argument.

Aren't those the kinds of games you can play on a crappy computer anyway?
More evidence that Canada has better health care than the US!
Unfortunately, I don't think they desire educated kids.
Last I checked, Canada has Internet connections, so, yes, it is.
At least as ignorant as I am about the meaning of the word 'juggalo'.
Oh, he probably just plays Magic.

I think I see a meme in the making.

Except that this isn't just suicide, it's suicide at the factory.
Or maybe undergrads all just need to get laid.
Yes, we do.
He also pointed out that Kerrigan is depicted completely naked in any promotional material he encountered.
