Might have to give it ago. My parents struggle with the VCR. I need to be able to lock out features as my old man has the self distruct touch when it comes to computers.
I doubt it. it will be on every street corner by now. I live in london and u can get pirate dvds any where. Dudes just set up stalls on the side of the road in a shopping area or come into pubs selling them. Might have to get my self a copy.
Even though this will probably become one of, if not the biggest, selling movie ever, yet they will still calim piracy hurts them. Most people will go see it at the cinema but will want to watch it at home again and not have to wait 6 months or what ever till it comes out. Do u think they will realise. doubt it.
IF thats what users of the net want to use it for, well thats what they are paying for. Spam just pisses people off cause they don't want it. I don't really beleive that figure. Upload is so slow.
Umm, actually the Normans are vikings. Just like some vikings settled in England so to in Normandy. Look at your history. They were very different to the French.
I think its two fold. Of course it increases market share/whatever. But thats why all companies donate. They don't do it to make them selves feel rosy. The do it for commercial reasons. We shouldn't complain to much as they might take the stuff back. No matter home much you dislike M$, for poor students etc any OS is better than none. Microsoft is in a win-win-win situation. THey come off looking charitable, they get users onto their system and they get a huge tax write off.

I just returned from Amsterdam on Saturday and it was great. Its a beautiful city and seems a great place to live. I'd rather be there than the US
As some one who was in Amsterdam friday and brussells saturday and live in London (originally from oz) standards there do not suck. Amsterdam is a beautiful city where the majority of peole get around on bikes (being dead flat helps) not to mention the coffee shops. Brussells was great too. It has the best beer in the world. No arguments there. I have been to alot of places. Sure they have dodgy areas but so do all cities. The only thing they lack is space, which is a bit annoying. But then again New York is hardly spacious.
I think I ahve mentioned this before but everyone should change to plastic notes. They are impossible to counterfeit and they survive going through the wash/getting splashed with beer. They have saved me many times. And for all those people who say that the US currency is unique being green and all, they can be printed any colour you want. Personally I prefer the notes to be different colours so you can easily tell the difference. Also the US really should get $1 and £2 coins. Much better for vending machines than notes.
When I first started using it, not long after Napster was taken away, there weren't many people on it. Now there are heaps and its good. Not as good as Napster though.
I forgot to mention that this would eliminate yearly changes. Every year would be the same. you wouldn't get the great vintages. Also how would you know that you have the best vintage possible if its always the same.
This starts wine down the mass production route where they all taste the same. The grape variety is what gives wine is distinctiveness. If you had a whole vienyard the same you couldn't have nice blends. What about for sweet wines where they have the fungus growing, botrytus (i think thats how its spelt), they would go all wrong.
"If the French want better treatment from the US, then they should act like a friend to the US"
A friend doesn't mean doing what ever they want you to do. Friends offer each other advice and disagree on different things.
BTW That whole incident shows why the UN is flawed. Why should 5 countries have the right to veto and get their own way. Everything should be voted on and no one have special powers.
I don't recall that Fantastic Journey movie but I do remember seeing inner-space. I think it had Martin Short in it as the guy who had the capsule inside him and all sorts of shenanigans followed.
BUt he must have misread it. I think it was probably 2004 but we are definately on the slippery slope down. Changing the T to Terrorist was a stroke of genius (from there point of view), now the public will lap it up and the few thousand of us on/. will know what it really is. The majority won't hear about this till they are arrest and informed of their rights ie none.
I love GTA and others similar but I don't go out and kill cops. I have been palying violent games since i was 5 years old. SO have all my mates but we are all pacifists. People have been killing people since the beginning of time. The problem now is that it doesn't affect most people in western societies so when it does they try and blame something. Ask some one in an African country in civil war if video games cause violence.

Anyone got a mirror?
Just gotta know is it easier enough for my parents to operate?

I'd think that the MPAA has the rights to Event Horizon. Maybe everytime they create a black hole they have to pay the MPAA.
"THe point of no return is the Event HorizonTM.

Being from a country that uses metric (Oz) I have always wondered that. I prefer mpg of kpl or something this litres to 100km is a bit stupid

This is a good thing. Being a man i'll need my prostate checked every so often when i am older. This is better than getting a finger up the arse.
"you can swallow two capsules that come together, and then you can just fire a laser at the lesion."
Why must everything futuristic involve lasers. But they must have powerfull engines to get through all that shit.
So we will be running the place on microbe farts. If only they could put some of these in our guts and we could power our own cars.
I guess it really would be the gas pedal.
But seriously this is great research. I dream of a day when this technology is viable. Especially if it powers my '64 Impala with the same power.
I can't believe they use Microsoft. Imagine getting the system crashing in the middle of a war. That really would be the Blue Screen of Death!!!
nice one
Christina Ricci. mmmmm Christina
