I used to shave with just water and a hand full of soap suds (from bar soap). Since I got my recent job and see that the biker guy has a full beard and long hair, I have stopped shaving all together. It was a little gross when I had a sinus infection and started drooling in my sleep but other than that, having a beard is cool. For some reason, people give me lots of room at the supermarket and shops now. Cool!
Meanwhile, laptops at my work are required, by DHS, to have encryption software on them. Can't wait until one of our VIP's has his machine confiscated.
Um...I've paid for shareware. If I really like something and it saves my ass or I end up using it at least once a week, it's worth paying for. I also donate to web comics I like. Just my way of trying to nudge the universe in ways that are beneficial to myself.
I think those are tourists and, after growing up in Florida, think we should declare war on 'em. After all, there is a tourist season, why can't I get a license?
Man, just look at how we've carved mountains created lakes, diverted rivers. We've put our footstep on the place. Not to mention that giant CHA burned into the moon.
Kids not running? WTF? How they hell are they supposed to burn off energy and get exercise? Maybe Kalifornia needs to be sued for inhibiting the healthy development of children. If only they had some kind of health advocate in a position of power there...
FWIW, my daughter (6 years old) usually has a visit a week to the school nurse. When she hits the play ground, she doesn't hold anything back. Personally, I think it's a good thing that she's learning to take lumps and keep going (bleeding still requires a Barbie band-aid, though). What doesn't kill you usually makes for a good beer drinking story later.
We have the same problem here in the states, with people back around turn of the century (19c to 20c) bringing in all sorts of scrappy plants from China (kudzu comes to mind).
The college I worked at, in south St. Petersburg, Fl, is 3'-12' above sea level. As of two years ago, the data center was finally set up in a second floor dedicated space. Before that, it was ground level, in some old admin offices. I imagine the cost of this thing would have been less than the new building that was put up and can easily see the school directors going the Sun route, to save a few nickels. Having it on wheels would make it easy to evac, for the three or four times a year the campus is evacuated. Just wonder what kind of über connection they'd have for hooking this thing up to an org's network. RS232? 50 PIN SCSI?
The kind of women you can take to White Castle and then sleep with usually are best not seen by the light of the rising son. Only makes sense to beat feet while the eeevil Mr. Yellowface is away.
I've only been out past 9pm once this year (4th of July, returning from family bbq). I have computers all over the house so that I can be online just about any time I want. I went to college for 15 years but only got 3 dates so I dropped out. Oh yeah, technically, this is my mother's house, though she doesn't live here anymore. I'm saving up to build my own house. I have $120.00 in the bank. This house doesn't have a basement (sigh). All of these statements are true.
Hey, I failed college algebra, was expelled from SPJC and have no idea how things really work (other than hit them with a hammer until you buy a new one) but I have faith in science. How's the saying go? Pray in one hand and develop in the other. Which one fills up first?
That's what I liked about Eudora/Mac as well. Being able to start it up, have my regular mail boxes all open up in different windows, and having just a small floating tool palette was great. Even though I've used Apple Mail and Outlook for the past few years, really don't like single pane apps. Hope they keep the old Eudora look in the OS version.
No, fool! I'm your sister-girlfriend. Now bend over!

Ah. That would be Bookers.
I used to just go up through the drop ceiling. I liked to disconnect the bells. Way to loud.
Especially when you listen to Bush, his accent just lends itself to declaring the war on tour-ists! Or picture Jon Stewart doing George Bush.

...except the Hindu replacements of course.
And they were quickly battered, deep fried, and eaten.
Have you ever been to an SCA event?
I call it...Derelict!

I'm still waiting for my iNewton. That'll be sweet.
Yes, I do want to get off this planet as soon as possible.
Have you tried jumping UP?

My first set of speakers were Royals, from back in the '60's. Had real wood body. Sorta' like that Apple computer thing back in the '70's.

I have 6 years worth of Eudora email and it's just over 500MB. 'Course, this is from '93-'99 and attachments were few and far between.
