Certs don't mean a whole lot in my experience. I've known people with lots of certs and they really didn't know all that much. Anyone can cram for a test and get a piece of paper. I don't have any certs and I work in tech, promoted to supervisory positions over and over for an international corporation. Paper doesn't mean much, just gets your foot in the door.
Homeland Security...i'm sorry but I find it all a joke. It's bad enough Americans get screwed paying for Government agencies that don't even work. Now they create another one to throw money at. I mean really, i'm from Canada and i clear the same off a paycheck here as i did there. Difference is if i got into an accident, i wouldn't be out 30 grand for hospital dues, we have unemployment insurance et al. Just had to vent, i hate seeing 400 bux come off my paycheck so government can tell me what i need.
Exactly. I'm a huge RPG player and when I picked up this old game called Daggerfall I was happily surprised at the way a character advances. The graphics sucked but Morrowind fixed that. Sure you can jump around all day and be good at jumping, but it's more intelligent than that. I hate levels and the idea that "the more you do something, the better you are at it" is a good one. Just thought i'd agree with you on that point.
Not a cancer exactly...more like a virus. Gotta love that line in the Matrix. It's kinda scary how similar we are to viruses. We move to a good environment, use it all up and destroy it, then move on to the next target. Hell we gotta look at other planets now cuz we're almost done with this one. Not realling trolling, it's more of an observation.
