From what I understand, the controller was designed so that people with severe hand deformities could play. To somebody who has regular hands, it might look strange but I'm sure for somebody who has fingers been 90 degrees the wrong way, it could be a god send.
Interestingly enough, the original Syndicate came out for SNES and Genesis/Megadrive and the sequel, Syndicate Wars was available on the Playstation. (I think the original trailer for it mentioned a Saturn version, but I don't know if one exists)
Netflix already does some statistic collection for how many of each client is being used - I remember and some gaming show they mentioned how many people watch Netflix on each of the consoles. The biggest problem with attempting to watch Netflix on Linux (or BSD) is the fact that there is no application nor a browser plugin. Supposedly somebody is working on a Chrome plugin which is based on the ChromeOS plugin, but I haven't seen anything about it actually working just yet.
You also leave the facility in Portal - until they retroactively changed the ending. Also, Portal 2 is supposed to take places hundreds of years after the first.
I don't know about you, but I consider the ability to be out of the office for a few days (or hell, even a week), enjoying myself and not having to worry about phone calls about system X being down or having problems with process Y, to be a benefit. (Don't get me wrong, i do enjoy my work, but i do like to get away from the office and the server room from time to time.)
Could you also address you're letter to EA, Warner Bros. Interactive, and all of the other companies that have been implementing an "online pass" system in their games, since It's not just Sony. As a side topic, does anybody have list of games that require online pass for multiplayer?
You buy a game brand new, the publisher / developers get a cut as well as the game system manufacturer if any. You decide to sell it to gamestop, gamestop buys your $60 game for $25 and sells it for $40. Someone comes in, see's that game for $60 NEW or $40 USED, they see no difference in the two, they pay gamestop $40 and gamestop see's all the profit to themselves.
And this is the exact same issue when dealing with just about any store that specializes in used goods regardess if it's games, books, CDs, DVDs/blueray, etc.
As seems to be the case with Wine, performance seems to be all over the place depending on distrobution, hardware, and version of the software (both the Wine and the version of app you're trying to run). It's been my experience that the performance of Source engine based games has been in the toilet for the last year or two - I'm thinking they made some update to the engine that Wine doesn't like. I'm running a 1.8 GHz Core2Duo, 2GB of RAM, and a Nvidia 7300 - not hte beefiest machine by far, but it most source games should sitll run half-way decent, even at the lowest settings, or so I would assume.
Four years of college and plenty of knowledge have earned me this useless degree I can't pay the bills yet 'cause i have no skills yet The world is a big scary place.
I could be wrong, but I believe that Microsoft has a minimum spec that handset manufacturers have to meet for them to be granted a license for Windows Phone 7.
I'm going to have to agree with this statement. Also I had a lot more free time on my hands when I was in middle and high school than I do now as an adult.
One thing that really irritates me about the ability to copy/move saves from the PS3's hard drive to a USB drive is that some saves and content is locked and can't be copied. (I'm not sure if this the case when you use the built in backup utility or the PSN+ cloud backup). I think there is 360 saves and content that, unfortunately, works the same way.
Personally, I probably won't stop buying from the PSN altogether, but I certainly will move to using pre-paid points cards rather than letting them have the details of my (new, just replaced - thanks Sony) credit card.
Same here, and I'm thinking of doing the same for my XBox Live purchases, especially since Microsoft doesn't make it easy to remove your credit card from their billing system. Oh well, not like the one that's in their system is valid anymore.
There was also a in-between model that supported PS2 games, but emulated part of the PS2 instead of having all of the hardware onboard.
Don't forget to drink your Ovaltine.

What about doing Facebook in PrivateBrowsing/Incognito Mode/InPrivate Mode?
Except for the fact that Microsoft doesn't own Epic Games.
So, I guess I shouldn't have an X-Ray done either, huh?
...yeah, yeah, I know. Don't feed the trolls.

I'm commander HAKdragon, and this is my favorite comment on slashdot.

...there was no Duck Hunt for the SNES (Super Scope)
I thought it was a refrence to the fact that the original shuffle was the size of a pack of gum.

Discs were never (loading....) fast. It was always about a lot of free space for little money, especially when compared to cartridges.
GOTY!

Rooted phones can still have a locked boot loader. I have a Droid 2 Global that's been rooted, but the bootloader is still locked.
